This is true, the way I look at it though is that I could slap a 4.0 and new trans in it in a weekend for probably less the 300 bucks

Money is just money, there will always be more. Just saying I think it's worth it in the end, and the time to do it would be before spending more time and money on another 4.0.

Easy to say that about money when you have it.

I'm sure it's worth it, doesn't change the fact that it costs a decent amount of money.

4.0 and AW4 is pennies on the dollar compared to an LS swap.

I have a 4.0 out of a 95 XJ for 80 bucks if it means you will be wheeling at rocktoberfest. I can bring it to LI basically any week you want, I end up in Manhattan 2 days a week for work right now. It has a tiny bit of surface rust inside the ports and on the valve stems because it was raining when I unloaded it, but it ran before it was pulled from the donor vehicle and I've had it stored with WD40 coating the bores ports and valves since then. It's my spare, but I have enough running vehicles now that I don't think I need to worry much.

Doug also has a 4.0 out of that 96 with 30k on it but I don't know what he wants for it. I can deliver it too.

Oh, and I have Mark's parts '99 from Bill sitting at my place too. I don't know if he's looking to sell the motor or what at this point but I can pull that and bring it to you also if that works best.

EDIT: I forgot, I also have 90XJay's parts '94 with a good 4.0 in it too. I can pull that and bring it also... find out what he wants for it and pay him and it'll be dropped off whatever week you want.
