Project Pocket Change

Sorry I was being smart ass about how little uptravel stoppage there is. I completely agree with the unseated coil thing

What do you mean? You think fuel will come out of the vent hoses? The filler neck is connected

ya, I won't guarantee it, but I'd also not want to risk it.
atleast something to look into, maybe someone with experience will chime in, but I think it's a risk.

Im not doubting you Im just unsure of where to run the vent to.. the filler and filler vent are connected like stock

So this thing made it through a weekend of beating the ever living piss out of it... Had no working gauges but my guess was that it was running at 230 plus all weekend and it still runs great

Ran some crazy stuff such as otters jotters trail 5 hill climb and all kinds of lines in devils den. Only issues I had were lack of rear shocks causing wheel hop and losing the exhaust so in my book for a hacked together jeep it wheeled great

Figured I'd update this since I took it out again.. After loosing my exhaust and having no idea how hot this thing was running I decided it would be a good start to fix those issues.

For the cooling system I simply wired the e fan in and threw a mechanical gauge in a newer style t stat housing. Low and behold the jeep ran at 190 on a 115 degree day cant ask for anthing more then that!

As for exhuast I made a nice short and simple setup with a stock style muffler and a turn down thats tucked up nice to the floor so it doesnt end up being dragged everywhere.

I also found out what was causing the serious rich condition this thing had! It ended up being the MAP sensor vaccum line. It now runs mint!

I got this thing back on the trail for what was supposed to be a weekend trip last weekend

I beat this thing like a red head step child all day! Lost the rear shaft and t case skid on crawl daddy and after fixing it broke it again on the comp course. I managed to bent the stock trans xmember up pushing the fan into the radiator and causing the slipyoke to fall out of the tcase the motor mounts are also pushed out probably an inch or so.. That ended my trip so its time to address that with a 2x4x1/4 crossmember that i can hammer on!

Did some more work on this POS a friend of mine gave me a mind header panel with lights grill and bezels so i slapped that on looks so much better!

Also found the ground that wasnt connected which was causing me to have no gauges, hooked that up and theyre all working!

Also went and dropped the bent crossmember and fubared drive shaft.

Seriously though, looks like you got a lot of the small things ironed out, looks real good dude. I'm especially glad to hear that it's not running rich anymore. That was yucky! :puke:
