Project MixNMatch aka MallCrawler

And again, a year and a half later, an update. Somehow I still own this thing.

Photobucket screwed me, all photos should be visible again, rehosted on Flickr.

Beefed D30 (tube inserts and inner C gussets) installed and complemented by new RE coils and Prothane bumps.

HD Offroad Engineering 3-Link installed.

Rear traction device.

Did some poser stuff at WF16.

Added Brown Dog motor mounts, really glad I did after seeing the stockers.

Railbed at Crawl '16.

WF17.

Sold the OEM tire carrier to fund JR's Tanker bumper from his XJ. Had to do the cut-n-fold on the rear quarters as a result. Also added extended rear shackles. Rear leafs had been replaced down the line (2016?) and a Solid diff cover added to the 8.8 also.

Bumper painted up and installed. Gas tank skid in the background ended up on there too.

Entrance to Pinball at Crawl '17.

Whitetail Crawl at Crawl '17.

Ironically when I started this build it was to be a DD/weekend wheeler. Now it's a garage queen that never sees the road. Such is Jeeps I suppose...

Turns out I’m terrible at updating these things, but in the name of Moab prep I have been working on it. Mostly boring maintenance but a few new parts and fun stuff.

New to me 285/75/16 BFG ATs on ZJ Orvis wheels:

Military style battery terminals:

Custom Splice winch rope:

Finally fixed the broken free spool lever and cleaned/regreased the gearset:

El cheapo radio ($16!) for AM/FM/AUX/Bluetooth:

Radio may be cheap but it drives the JL sub in the back so I can drown out all the noises the Jeep makes...

Still have to fix and mount the rear tire carrier but overall it *should* be ready to go.

For now...

I still have a little room in the front before the prothane hits and the rear will probably get into the inner fender before maxing out but it’ll be fine.

Moab prepped.
