That is a LOT of rust. IMHO, get it running and legal, put it on Craigslist for $1000. I wouldn't build or drive that.

I wouldn't sell that to anyone without making it abundantly clear the issues it has. The last thing you need is for some 18 year old kid to die because he thought he could do 80 and the ****ing thing fell apart. Whether or not there are legal consequences I wouldn't want that on my conscience.

That rust is bad, but I've done 120 in an xj with at least as much if not more, and I didn't die.
The axle housing had been swapped already though... that is some scary rust on the mounts.
