I used 7/8 because it was worth it with the hobag discount but I have 3/4 in my track bar and I think they are plenty strong especially with assist taking a bunch of stress off steering components

Is it better to just buy the complete steering kits that Barnes sells or should I piece together what i need? Have ran heims on suspension before but never steering. Just trying to figure out exactly what spacers and such I should run.

one thing i suggest... on the tie rod, run saftey washers. in theory you never should need misalignment. but in practice, the first time you punch the tie rod and tweak it a little bit itll be so bound up that adjustment sometimes isnt doable without removing at least one side of the bar.

What is gonna be the easiest way to get this race out? Atleast that's what I'm thinking it's there is suppose to be a race there for the bearing. Haven't found any replacement races for it so I don't know.

Put some spot welds on it when they shrink it will be simple to take out

If you use enough of them when the welds cool they will shrink the race just enough it will slide right out........gotta be hot beads.

ya, just looked. im out of the loop.

I use a slide hammer but I like Ho's idea. I think I will try that next time

Learning all kinds of new things with this build. That and a good excuse to buy new tools. Probably gonna pick up a slide hammer to help out just in case.
