Whoops, wrong one. I'll bet they're around the same price, though.
I now know where I'm going to buy parts when I make my control arms!

ZPD said:Like RCP said there is no tube. There is a very thin walled sleeve that the rubber is pressed in to. That sleeve has to be pressed into a tube that is welded to the CA. RCP discovered, as I did, that the sleeve has two different OD's and that needs to be bored into the tube that gets welded to the LCA. Relatively speaking it was a PITA. I would have bought those if I could have especially seeing how I had to pay $25 for my bushings anyway.

So you press that whole sleeve (with bushing) into a new tube? But is is difficult because that sleeve is not the same size diameter all the way across?
So with these new pieces you just press the bushings into them, and weld them to your new CA's? Obviosly welding without the bushings in them!!
Do I understand it right? kind of right?
Thanks for helping me understand.

crimsonride said:Just FYI, that rubber is vulcanized in the thin-walled sleeve, this is important to know. If you're using this for a rock buggy or a custom suspension, be carefull not to tighten the bolt that goes through the sleeve too tight. What happens is that the inner sleeve gets pinched tight and through the opperation and movement on the arm the rubber tears or breakes and deteriorates. Does this make sense?
ZPD said:Yep I stand corrected. They are vulcanized in there. I remember that now. It has been a while since I built my long arms.
BTW, I knew you could buy the bushing I just never knew of a source to buy the barrel that gets welded to the tube.
Ed A. Stevens said:So who sells narrow loops with a centering wall to work with football shaped bushings cut in half (or do I still have to cut & weld, and turn the poly down, on my own)?
JeepFreak21 said:It doesn't even look like they sell it w/ the joint in there.
