I am having a discussion with my dad about an exocage and he thinks its a stupid idea and the tube will just smash into the body, so i would like all of you to post up pics of your exo when you finished it, and doing its job! (flops, rolls, whatever you want)

Here is a pic of my heep with an exo

And here is it after I flopped on carnage. That side of the jeep did not sustain any damage.

you can see in the pic without the exo the A piller would have been damaged and the windshield would have broken.

And the damage. Just some surface scratches, but the tube did not bend. The exo is built from .120 wall DOM tube.

A full exo is not a good way to build a cage, you wont get proper triangulation without some sort of internal bracing. Like the cage above, mine is a hybrid cage, it incorporates a exo on the roof with bars dropping down for internal triangulation and bracing. So far it has worked well for about 2 and a half years of trail abuse.

exo cages are more for preventing severe body damage. to truely protect during a roll over you need an interior cage

thanks, but yeah im building an interior cage too, im just trying to decide whether or not i want to build an exo, as im already going to building tube flares that go from the front bumper to the sliders and from the sliders to the rear bumper.
