Opinions on VW GTI

I'm seriously considering getting a new Volkswagen GTI, probably a two door. Does anyone have one of these? How do you like it?

got one... love it.... it's a rocket on wheels. Friend drove with me in mine, a week later she was trading her nissan for a GTI.

Btw, it's hard to keep it within speed limit: you don't feel the speed and it just flies.


Oh yeah: GTI is two door only.

My daily driver is a GTI. It's a fun little car. Not going to break any land speed records, but it's better then a civic. (I'm actually a honda tech too, so I get shit pretty much every day for having a VW)
I love it, and would buy another.

i have an 2006 gti and i coulnt be happiers with it. 3000 miles so far and i have enjoyed every single one of them.

VWs r hands down great cars in general whether its a GTI or not... I would love to have a VW but i love my jeep more (cuz its 4x4) get it i strongly suggest it

Yup: it's FAST, I fly low to work in it every day Jeep is still there to play with but this is the first non jeep DD that I have that I actually like to drive

Had a Mk. II GTi years ago. Nice to see that things haven't changed much - the only reason I gave it up was that I got a smoking hot trade on a Renault 5 Turbo
