Um excuse me but this is uncalled for.... I think you need to think b4 you speak!ROBERTK said:Now lets picture some hick from down south or back east, orders these parts and gets them. Do you honestly think they would be happy to have to ship them across the US to get evaluated and hopfully exchanged. Hell no they would use some big ass hammer and a chisle prolly to just git r done, but thats not the way it should go.

U obvously missed the point.ROBERTK said:Well sorry if you dont think theres a hick in the south or back east. I am from PA and I KNOW theres a few there even.
And I am also sorry if your one of those that cant even stand to listen to 'blue collar TV' and Larry. If your upset about not being so politically correct in my example then I appoligize. I understand this is not Pirate and some here are sensitive about the small things.

ROBERTK said:well I KNOW I am an ass, AND a cheap SOB. And yes expected a pinion support that is designed to fit a stock case opening and looks to be bullit cut. And yes expected a 4.86 gear set to fit in whats called a "Race Case" and also a Detroit to fit, without modification. And Yes again your right, I did learn ALOT from this.
*Never expect a ford item to be easy.
*out of the 12-15 people that told me Currie is not as good as I thought they were, maybe they had a reason for saying so.
*Ford 9" setup should be extreamly easy if you have Stock parts and not aftermarket parts.
*I am an ass
*I am Cheap
*I am not so cheap though that I dont give money toso others can call me cheap :jester:.
*To never build another 9" - just go shaved 14 and HP60.
*Oh and that its still very strong to Cut the end off of a bolt thats too long and its just as strong as a premade and heat treaded bolt. And that the sharp partial thread at the end is good and that a wire wheel to remove some of the sharp leading edge is just over kill on a 35 spline carrier thats made to be the strongest someone makes. :read:

from a previous post this morning.
"In any case I will see what they do today at 2:30 when I head over there"
let my ass get reamed here a little while longer before I get to be happy disapointed that Chris over at Currie tells me "sure you kinda marked up the side adjusters but we will return the case thats in question and just charge ya the extra 60$ for the Strange big bearing case".
you registered just to say that? well i hope they let you off work early or something as a thank you...bobby_hill said:I know its already been stated, but you shouldnt be such a cheap ass and had them put it together for you. Its like hi9 said, theres a reason why they dont like to sell them not assembled. You should'nt complain since it is not currie's fault. Should you have had them assemble it, this wouldnt even be an issue. I personally have their "race case" in my 70 chevelle with a locker and I have NO problems whatsoever. I put it together myself and had no problems. If i did, then I would have blamed myself for not letting them do what they do best. I also have one of their other rear ends in another vehicle of mine with no complaints as well. So as far as you saying that their "QC" sucks, I think you should reconsider that statement.
Currie parts + random bullshit parts = not a good idea.

He's not necessarily hurting things either. Bobby has a point. RobertK came on here and bashed a vendor (yeah I know, not the vendor, just their 'QC') before he had attempted to let Currie resolve the problem. Whoever Bobby is may be a tad too inflamed with rage to put together a persuasive argument, but he's right insofar as some understanding needs to be applied to the situation. Understanding from the point of the vendor, and understanding from the point of the builder. RobertK has a perfectly valid point that if he has purchased parts that are supposed to work together without further modifications, then they should. The salesman could have asked RobertK a few questions during the sale that might have cleared up some of the problems in advance, too. At the same time, RobertK seems to have overreacted, but that's not a crime, and I defy anyone to say they have never overreacted when they ran into what appeared to be a major problem with something they have invested lots of time and money...NRT_Chris said:I dont know who bobby hill is but your not helping!!
