Offroad HID lights....

After you (you in general, not you personally) get past the wow factor, those really don't make sense for the kind of wheeling we do in Colorado. Do we really have 5280' of unobstructed view between obsatcles? No, not even close.

I'd suggest a wide pattern light, even a generic driving light and a decent set of rocklights. These will be far more usefull than a 67 gigawatts worth of straight and narrow pencil beams.

I saw these in the grill of a F350 they are BRIGHT!!! i would say go for it... it's not what people spend your money on, it's what you spend your money on!

Stopped at Checkers this morning to look at those lights. They have 7 inch and 4 inch. Both on sale right now. 7 inch is 99 bucks. And the 4 inch 95 bucks on sale. They come with wiring and mounting hardware. Kinda cool. They have Plastic light cover that is clear. It goes over a glass lens. They use the same bulbs my Lincoln has so I know they are bright. My Lincoln has a 2 inch cone to cover the light otherwise people would be blinded by it. It is pretty bad then you have block some of the light coming from the bulb cause it so bright. Anyway I will probably get them in week or so. For the money they are worth it to me.
