Official Ron Paul 2012 Thread

The Tea Party was a great thing before it got filled with bible thumpers and social conservatives. It stood for one thing... fiscal responsibility. We needed that badly.

Then all the GOP circus freakshow candidates jumped on board because they knew they didn't have a chance in hell of going anywhere in the GOP. You know the ones, the "masturbation is a sin" bible thumpers, those convicted of multiple counts of tax evasion and fraud, etc. It's a laughingstock now.

The Tea Party is responsible for waking up millions of Americans who've complacently voted for their favorite party, yet have failed to recognize that both parties have been infiltrated by those with similar agendas.......neither of which are pro-Constitutional principles and values.

Just like the other two party options, the rats and roaches rushed to get inside.

Do you burn down an entire building to rid it of rats and roaches?

A better plan is to indentify their hiding places, expose them for what they are, cut off their food supply and drive them out of the building.

We the People are not demanding accountability and holding our elected officials feet to the fire. We are supporting their lust for power and corruption through our complacency.

Voting is an American right and priveledge, those who treat it as a burden and cast their votes without any thought or effort to truely know who and what they are voting for are far more dangerous than for them to not vote at all.

This can all change in 2012, but it's up to each individual voter to want our country to be different, to return to the Constitutional Principles and
Values that are the basis of the foundation of America.

There's a reason that there is no other country on the face of the earth like America. Since its inception, America has been a beacon for good, for individual rights and freedoms and personal opportunity, but we must also recognize that it will always be a target of evil, and must constantly endure the attacks of those who view personal rights and freedoms as roadblocks to their agenda to gain power, rule over their fellow man and gain wealth on the backs of those who are classified as beneath them.

In a country where an individual can achieve success beyond ones wildest imagination and be greatly rewarded for their efforts, one can also sit idly by, blaming others for their lack of success and allow themselves to be supported by the succesful, whom they jeolously despise.

I think the closes we came to a vialble 3rd party candidate was Andersen back in 1980.

I still believe at this point in time is President Obama is unbeatable. here is where he will make hay. It is no secret that certain members in Congress from a certain political party are doing everything they can to make President Obama a one term president...and with everything that has happened to the middle class over the last eight years even those disappointed with President Obama will see that those certain members of congress did not have the best interest for the country.

Rest assured, he is beatable. His failed policies and demoralizing & divisive rhetoric have led to a low approval rating. It will likely fall even more. He's already alienated the independent and Jewish vote, and evidence he's losing some of the Black and Hispanic vote. If he continues down this path, there's a chance he'll pull a Lyndon Johnson and won't seek a second term.

Other than self destructing, by whom?

Nobody (on the surface) has had less best interest for the country than Obama.... nobody. Nice try.

I'm sure Mitt "Corporations are People" Romney would be way better.

i came into this thread expecting the teabagger mainstay, but then i had to agree with like the first, 10 posts? wow surprise!

then beezil posted, and we get to see why this country is XXXXed. ron paul sure isnt electable... not with that attitude. many people said obama could never win (early on). he got above it, so could ron paul.... but he's gotta get real. he had his choice at that debate with the coma question, he shouldve said something warm... instead what he told me is 'you dont mean shit to me'. XXXX that guy who cheered, and XXXX all the republican contenders up to this point, same shit, differant stink.

im 27, with no health care, if it was as easy as $200 a month, do you really think half the country would be uninsured? get real dude, or you wont have my support.

This country is screwed because it's broke.

Vermont is doing single payer. Ron Paul is all for state's rights to do it.

Yeah, I support state's rights to do single payer health insurance. I do not believe it is the responsibility of the feds to deal with it, nor do I think they are the right group to do it. But if states (like the one I unfortunately live in) want to do it, and vote in favor of it... that's their right. I wish we didn't do it but it's well within the laws of this state so I will abide by it.

The feds on the other hand :soapbox:

Obama is a pawn, put in place by Soros bankroll and the Progressive Socialist labor movement. ( Their words, not mine.)

All the potential candidates have the same problem right now, none of them will speak the truth without fear.

Here's a great article that provides some clarity:
http://biggovernment.com/kschlichte...w-to-fight-the-smears-and-take-the-offensive/

Any candidate that wants to stand out as a clear leader needs to stop playing patty-cake with the media and speak the truth.

9-11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB!!! GO RON PAUL!!

Give me a break:rolleyes:

Ron Paul is NOT a 911 "Truther".

He does however believe our long term presence and involvement in the middle east region was at least part of the motivation behind 911.
