Well I went to the Annual run at Oak Ridge. This place is mostly trail riding, with a few moderate to hard rock obstacles thrown in. The rig I was wheeling is the Turd. Basically it has a bootyfab chop on it. A decent cage, 3 link front/leafs rear. Alxes are midly builtd30 with alloys and lock right, rear is a d44 with alloys and lock rights. ONly armor is a gas tank skid.

Had to change lines, and still got high centered

Had to get a friendly push

Lower 3 rock garden...

This is upper 3 or what they call V notch

Once the video footage is sorted through I will post some up.

My XJ could have done that so easy. Here's a pic of mine in action:

No, it's not stuck :eyes:

I like the snow plow effect you created with the front diff.

Thats the whole key to that obstacle. Only problem is... there is a rock at the bottom that will hang your dif. Then as you get past that you are climbing up on the left side to that level spot, and thats where you hit your frame rail. Then you turn back right and get up the rest of the way. Kinda a lil difficult in a short wheel base rig... in xj's/mj kinda easy.

Here you can see the obstacle in a CJ5. Notice the rock in the lower left at the bottom.. that hangs your dif

We ultimately ended up strapping him so he wouldnt roll, then his motor started to make noises (low oil pressure from being on its side). We had to winch Eddie the last 6' of the obstacle.

So what you're saying to not have a rear diff, then you can get through it easy?

That and not having racing slicks for tires? :roflmao:

Nice XJ and it looks like a fun trail to run.

Are you running 5-4.5 to 5-5.5 wheel spacers? It sure looks like it.

Is it private or a NF? How many miles of trails? Looks like a fun place.

It is private. It is called oak ridge estates, and it is the same place they hold Camp Jeep at in VA. There are literally hours of trail riding on this property. There are only about 12 Rock obstacles to speak of.

Yes I run spacers/adapters. Those are vintage CJ7 rims

I made it last yr on 33 at's. If you are willing to suffer body damage any trail is possible with lockers.
