I think I'll join you there. Easy enough for me... I may have filled my right seat. I won't know until Thursday.

We should all start thinking about exchanging Cell phone numbers in Private Message(?)

I will need directions. I can find my way to Naches. But from there no idea. On the cell phones who do we pm and what cb channel to run?

We usually run channel 4.

My cell is 1(360)220-6265

I think there might be a guy(sam88) coming from Tri-cities.

I don't plan on doing anything too "hardcore". I don't want to have to fix anything before NWfest. I also have a long(250 miles) trip back home.

Hans

Hi all, :)

#1 -- I sent in my bucks for a 2 year membership a while back for NAXJA but haven't heard jack squat. I mailed it to the address back east. Is there an email addy or anything I can do to check on my membership?

Reason I'm concerned is that I'd like to ask another gent to come along with his rig, a cj5. The other guy I sometimes go wheeling with, Karl (that I mentioned in my original post here -- drives an 89 Cherokee) took a trip down to the Rubicon area, and isn't back in town yet. He's supposed to be back in time, but I don't know if he will be. Thus asking the other gent.

#2 -- My Cherokee has a fairly fast leaking outer right front axle seal that I haven't gotten around to replacing. But I should be okay for a day. My cj5 may not be back together in time. I was hoping to use this as an initial trail run for it after the tear down, but I doubt I'll have it back together by this weekend.

My Cherokee is 2", no lockers, 30x9.50 MT's, stock 3.07 gears, 5spd. I picked this up from my son a while back and have been in the process of getting multiple problems fixed. Main issue left now is the leaking seal. So the bottom line is that this Cherokee isn't going to be doing any hardcore either. Mainly just a shakedown run for it.

#3 -- Where can I get this "Forest Pass" at?

#4 -- How do I get to Kaner Flats Campground?

From Yakima take Hwy 12/410 west ,You will come to the Little town of Naches about 15 miles west of Yakima, keep going west at 5miles more the Hwy splits left is hwy 12 ,GO straight stay on hwy 410. Sit back and enjoy the drive it`s aways to go ,You will come to Cliffdell [and the speed limit is 35] You will see Whistlin Jacks motel quick-mart and gas, Another 5 mi west at mile marker 73 [Ithink] .The HwyCurves to the left ,And FS19 is a right turn ,It might also be posted as American River Rec Area.On FS 19 @ 2.5 mi.on the Right is Kaner Flats Campground.
Coming from Spokane this is going to take you about 1.5 hours more travel time than to Liberty, and the cell phones probably wont work.CB#4 when close enough.

I am planning on going. Would you be coming down through the Tri-Cities then to Yakima and Naches, or from Spokane to Ellensburg then down to Yakima/Naches? My intent is to leave Richland Saturday morning and head up to Naches via Yakima. If you come down through the Tri-Cities, I would wait for you, then we could run up there together. Hopefully there will be two other vehicles with me.

I will go through Ellensburg. The better half got in a wreck last Friday and is still a little stiff and sore. Will see on Thursday if she can handle 15+ hours in the Jeep. I have to have a co-pilot that is a lot of driving for one person.

Send an Email to Tim at [email protected] . It may take a day or two for him to respond, he always seems to be busy like the rest of us.

REI, Ranger Station, GI Joes, and any other outdoor retail place. Try somewhere that sells hunting licences(ie Ace Hardware)

Hans

Be careful about GI-Joes for a little while...and if you do, make SURE you get the right thing, in the right format. I picked up a Golden Eagle Pass in April that I found out was fraudulent last week.

Just a Heads up....

John
