I need a TJ D44 rear w/ discs and would love for it to have 4.56's and a locker and be in So-Cal somewhere. PLMK if you know of one or even a couple would be cool. Even if it is bare or stock I would consider it. Thanks!

Good luck. new housings are no longer available for the TJ. I haven't been able to find any.
Used housings? start calling Jeep wrecking yards. but be prepared to pay upwards of a grand for a complete, butt stock axle.
In the other hand. JK axles should be ready at the dealers by now. complete and priced around 1200-1500ish. find a way to make em fit and your set.

You can get housings or complete axles from 4WP or Northridge 4x4. If you want to spend that kind of money.

The only ones I am aware of factory will be the Unlimited models from the past couple of years. Good luck though.

I found the ones for my eifes Jeep on Pirate. You can find Rubi axles, but they go for about $3k for the pair.

Good Luck!

Can I ask why you need a TJ axle? New toy or something for KJ?

have a buddy with a TJ rear D44 with the ected (brand new) and 4.88 gears adn a extra set of stock shafts and with a ruffstuff cover (super thick and strong). I bet I could talk him in to selling it. But it wouldnt be for less then 1200 and prolly up towards 1500.

Jim, there is a 8.8 from an explorer in the Ontario PAP last sat. It has been there for two weeks. It is complete with the exception of a cover and a disc.

If I had the $$$ I would have scraped it up that day.
