November to Remember III - 11-08-08

dutch, I have a 231 in my garage with a Tom Woods SYE on it. It has a loose chain and some runout on the output shaft, but the SYE is fine. You can have the SYE for $100 if you're interested (catch is you have to take the whole case!):shhh:

I seriously just ordered my SYE & driveshaft, I wish I'd seen this before hand.

I did this run last year and it was a long day, but I won't miss it. I had a blast.

Are you going to have your junk running by then?

No, it moves under its own power, but it doesn't have a front drive shaft. It is a long way off. So if I wheel it will be my silver XJ... But the good news is I have the front end back together.

I hope it is nothing bad. If you need anything let me know.

Frank,
That reallys sucks! Please let me know if I can help you with anything. Anytime day or night.

:skull1:I'm running stock everything with 31's and a 3.5 lift. Will I be out of my league on this trip? :skull1:

Feedback welcome.

No but you will have to work it and maybe take a strap. I ran it last year in my ALL stock 98, never had to use the strap! It was rough, beat the hell out of my under carriage and put a big dent in the drivers rocker!!

Last year was last year. The trail is pretty dug out. I had to take a strap at the V-notch, and smashed my front bumper exiting the squeeze. I'm at 3.5", 31's, a 4 to 1, and a rear locker. 31's open-open will not be fun. Doable with a good spotter, but not fun.

I may need to pass then. I can't afford to FUK anything up.

Yes, last was last year and I did run it again this year right after Colorado Fest. It is dug out quite a bit and a stocker will take a beating but can still complete the trail. The V-notch is a bitch but I never took a strap, even in my stock 98. Though I did get my rocker damage there:laugh:
