Hey, I can play this month. :D

It was dark out and I was playing with long exposure and some other settings and got this.

Also this one

I went to the River of Lights at the Albuquerque Botanical Gardens with my 50mm f/1.4 and no tripod.

They have weddings here at the Spanish Moorish Garden, that may explain the bells motif:

This old truck is always parked out front

The zoo is right next door, the elephants made an appearance

I had to lay on my belly with the camera propped between fingers and the ground. This was the only situation that a tripod would be called for, but there was no room for one as I wanted the camera as close to the water as possible.

These nodding sunflowers made me long for summer again

What did you shoot Ryan? :)

fast lenses are sweet. i particularly like the one of the truck.

Damn, I have a sweet night picture, but its from a year ago so I can't submit it.

Nice harbor pics Anthony.

What did you shoot Ryan? :)

I shot a lot of cold medicine shots all last week. I was down in bed with the flu. The rest of the month I was too busy working.

I did however grab some with my P&S last night and I was going to post them but I left my camera in the truck. When I get home off my load I will get them up.

Alex, what ISO and shutter speeds where you shooting those at?

Having a fast lens mean you don't need no stinking image stabilization nor a tripod. :greensmok

Come on. Don't sell yourself short. You have a steady hand. We have a city park that does something real close to that. I would like to get there with my 50mm 1.8 not quite as fast as yours but it should do the trick.

Two that I took. One of them was tonight...so sue me.

All I had was my little P&S and no tripod. So I was just setting it on anything I could find that was solid and setting the self timer. Nothing great.

Great pic, Stephan! But why did you give her a roll of toilet paper for her b'day?

I like that you can see to the bottom of the shoreline.

thanks, i thought that was one of the things that made it cool too
