Noob xj wanted and Hi

Byron, that's the best pic of your XJ, ever!

my tires measure out to about 33x11.50. its a 285/75R16 on 16x8 moabs, with wheel spacers netting me 3.5" of backspacing.

33x12.50 with 4" of backsacing.

still the same lift. lol. dont mind the cheap ass foamie on the top. it was for my girlfriend at the time to play with. my shortboard was safely locked in the car.

what lift are you running? I don't see it listed

the kit has everything you need for the suspension.

It does not address your steering, and at 4.5" you're being real mean to the stock steering ends and geometry.

What did you do as for steering
for 3 years... nothing.

over time i have added:
- double sheer trackbar bracket (recomend)
- shackle relocation brackets
- SYE (a MUST! i ate Ujoints like crazy)
- degree shims
- ZJ tie rod
-BPEs front and rear

the kit is one of the most thorough i think though. no need to add this and that until you find what exactly it is you want to do with your jeep. i cant vouch for the current quality of RE parts that everyone despises.

it has served me pretty well, but i honestly wheel like a weeny. LAs are next on the list:

My brother had made some custom steering. I ended up with it.

I wheeled a long time on the stock stuff @ 3". I did things no one should do with stock steering stuff, but I was also trailering it at that point and it wasn't my DD. Being a DD and hitting the trail is a whole different story. If I break the MJ I roll it into the wienerbox and it can sit for months until I feel like fixing it. Not so much with something you need to drive home after a weekend.

Trackbar is an absolute must. The steering TRE's will be maxed out, but other than wearing faster seem to hold up to the increased angles. The trackbar does not.

My old jeep had stock steering and no lift. This one is at around 3" with V8 ZJ steering. I am fairly confident that if i wheeled the old jeep as hard as I wheeled this one(which is tame compared to Manche! :D), I would have destroyed the stock tie rod.

9 grand?

crackpipe.

but it's so green... like the color of money before it goes up in smoke.

since everyone is throwing up pictures, this is my junk on a 3" lift with 31's and 3.75 backspacing. works well for a dd/ww, but i'd like to move up to 33's at some point.
