Was told to come over here from cherokeeforum because they are kinda idiots
Noob guy from chicago here. I'm pretty new to jeeps but my good buddy used to have a 94 grand Cherokee with a 4.5 RE lift on 33 s so I know these trucks some.
As for me I have a Dakota right now and I'm thinking about buying a an xj and could use some help. It will mainly be a winter ride so I can park my truck during the snowy weather. I don't need anything fancy but I really wanna fit 35s I've looked around and seen people tuck them on 4.5" of lift.
I believe a fellow member from my forum is on here and he goes by aircruiser.
As for pics of rides.

NAXJA is awesome. Even with the flack I have gotten from time to time, I have given up going to Jeepforum.com now except going there occasionally. So Welcome.

ill be the first to give you a little flack... 35s and "nothing fancy" dont really go together. your wallet will be happier if you stay smaller for something you DD and dont really wheel, unless youve got the dough to throw around.

but welcome! dont wait as long as i did to go red. lol.

EDIT: damnit! rev snuck in and posted faster than me.

Welcome, yes two inches can make a big difference in the world of Jeeps!

zack 4.5 and 35s is all good. 33s are cheaper than 35s simple as that. if you want 35s you will need brake lines and maybe a few other things. like i told you my brake lines are pushing it with 3in and 33s so those i know you will need. other stuff really just depends on your drive vibes. you'll want to re-gear because im sure it will suck but for the most part stuff like that can wait until you get your money right.

i can tell you this try to get what you want the 1st time if possible, no sense wasting money, so if you are set on a look like that red one then thats your base and go from there. if you want 35s then make sure you aim for that. nothing worst than buying a lift for a dakota and wanting to drop it a year later:D

1st things 1st go find you a clean affordable jeep

I hate saying this, but use the search.

There is more information in the tech section than anywhere else on the planet.

You've heard from a few members our opinions, which we've got these opinions from experience.

Your initial idea of what you want and how you want to achieve it don't equal out.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but these are simple facts. You came here for advice, and we're giving it.
