Noob xj wanted and Hi

It's a vicious cycle. I had a stock XJ, then 3.5" and 31s, then 6.5" and 35s, then broke on the trail, decided to get a tow rig. then had to get a trailer, then went to 40s and one tons. Now I am poor.

33s with around 4 inches of lift was locked and went a lot of places. Fenders were deeply trimmed for full travel.

Use the search function at the top of the page, there are sooooooo many pictures of rigs on here.

Wife's DD, specs in sig. Wheels are like 3.5" backspacing, stick out a little more than I would prefer.

What are your "plans" with this jeep? Your first post says it will be mainly for winter driving. 35" tires on an xj in the winter can be interesting but doable with the proper setup. I say go with a 4" lift and 31" tires for the winter and 33" tires for wheeling. Trim the fenders or bumpstop it for the 33" tires.

It's mainly a winter rig to get thru the snow because my truck is 2wd and some light mud and trail riding. I put 35s before I learned this new info

Very sweet jeep! Did you add the sye and trac bar like I'm reading most sites say to.

i had an advance adapters HD sye...but only did it cause I got a good deal on it. it was fine with the the 4 inches of lift, i just had the driveshaft lengthen about an inch.

the trac bar was drilled and relocated over at first, i had an after market one laying around that i eventually put in because i had it laying around.

You should come to Brewfest this Saturday, meet some of these guys and ask them all these questions. And drink some beer.

And my wife's jeep and maybe a few others will be here for you to look at and see various modifications.

PM me for directions if you can make it.

Trust me to get to this last build and keep it daily drivable will cost enough to make you crap your pants even if you do all the work yourself. I love the 35's but putting 33's under a XJ can be done in your sleep compaired to going up to 35's

Ram Rod, how does that kayak holders work? I got J racks, but really worry about driving down the interstate with my kayaks set up like a giant sail. Those hydro feet (or whatever they are called) have really caught my eye.

PM sent as to not hyjack this post

Ram rod sick xj. Also I'm a kayak man myself so go ahead and post up. I have an 10ft ascend fs 10 from bass pro.
Ps thanks for teasing me with those 35s

31s can stuff far enough to stop forward progress when you don't have lockers.

The winch paid for itself right there.
