New tires= upset wife. Why?

As far as the public assistance goes, I don't neccessarily need it, but if I can get it and it helps pay for food so I can save more money to spend on the XJ, then why the hell not? They only count my base pay, which is 19,000, towards my income the determine eligibility. However, the Marine Corps gives me an extra 1100 a month to cover rent and utilities here in Oceanside. (trust me, that's easily spent out here). So, I could afford to have this child without food stamps, but I can have more gas money and money for other things if I do work with the system to get them. I'm half black, think I'd turn down a job because they hired me due to affirmative action? Heck no! I don't agree with the program, but if they want to use it, I'll take the benefits.

You can always tell the idiots cuz they immediately start pulling out crap that makes no sense and attacking people who differ or make a request to cut down on profanity (most wouldn't consider taking the Lord's name in vain profanity, but its offensive to Christians). But you know what, I'll take it back because as he so wisely said, he pays to be here and who am I to question his right. Besides I am in the service of defending his right to free speech. So bgcountry, I apologize, I shouldn't have added that last part in. I do however stand by everything else.

I want to know why you think you have the right to use our hard earned tax money to collect food stamps, when you don't really need it. Do you think we like supporting you? If you deserve to get fed by the government do you think we all should? If you want extra money for jeep stuff, get out and get an another part time job to suplement you income like the rest of us have to do if we want something. Insted of steeling it from hard working people.

Just remember that you have to be a Christian to use that one.
I believe most all religions believe in God

I think that is what some of the guys here are compaining about. The wife that sits at home and wants to spend all the extra money on things she wants and not let him buy what he wants.

It may sound good from where you are at, but staying home raising babys, and having lots of money is not what it is cracked up to be. It gets old fast. :lecture:

These guys dont know what they're complaining about anymore, I think it's about getting permission from the Mrs. to buy things, who has control of their sac and who doesn't.

More importantly though, staying home and raising kids may not be what's it's cracked up to be for you, but if I don't stay at home and raise my kids then who the hell will? I'm not going to have a "career" when I have kids, my kids will be my job. And if I'm making the "sacrifice" (I use that word loosely) to stay home and raise them, my husband will not dictate to me how I can or can't spend OUR money. I wouldn't marry someone with that caveman mentality either.

My brother and sister in law have been doing it successfully for 12 years, she's happy, he's happy, the kids are happy. My parents did it, also.

But it is the bible that says the man is the head of the house. Isn't that where you are getting it from?

Amen to that.
Blacksport96, you just blew whatever credibility you had to this point.

Don't get me wrong, I am staying home with our kids for the first time in 12 years. But no matter how much money you have you are going to come to a time when both of you want something and can't afford both. Who is going to win that one, the person at home with the kids or the one out bustin his butt to earn it?

I guess you got me there and, if you're asking, yes, I am.
Although, if you look around, most other religions seem to put women in a much lower position than Christianity.

Wow, this is cool. We now have two simultanious hi-jackings going on at the same time.

I stay home with my kids, and absolutely love it. Would not trade it for anything. It is not easy all the time, but I dig being with my sons all the time.

Of course, I work from home too though.

Guess what jeeplas, you already are supporting me! Yay! Where do you think the money to pay the military comes from? Taxes! But being that I also pay taxes this means I am also paying my salary...d'oh! Don't be hatin just cuz you aren't poor enough to qualify for public assistance, while your job requires that you be willing to deploy on a moment's notice and go to far away places where the people want to kill you. :gee:
just out of curiosity, are you a democrat?

Just because he is bringing home the money doesn't mean it's his... do you receive a paycheck for staying home and raising your kids?

If we're in a situation where we have to choose who gets to make the luxury purchase, then we are not in a position to be making any kind of purchase. Live with in your means.

I never had any, cuz my name's in BLACK. Therefore I don't pay for this privilege, and don't really count in the end. Besides, I don't discount you because I don't agree with everything you say. Oh, and you're welcome.

I am a very conservative Republican who is positively thrilled to support you in the military. I am also a very conservative Republican who is apalled at this country's welfare program and the abuse that people like you use it for. Are YOU a closet Democrat?

How do you decide who the "leader" is?
That's crap.

Asking permission is ridiculous. Just live with in your means and all is good.

My hubby is going to be rich, he will work and bring home the bacon, I will stay at home and have lots of babies and he will give me money when I want it and he will STFU when I come home with a new $1000 purse that I will only use 3 or 4 times.
The seperate account thing definately will not work for me.

this relationship is not working out.

have fun owning rory.

That's OK, apparently you don't mind stealing your priviledges.

I am a Republican and proud of it!!! It is the democrates that want all of these public assistance programs.

I want my tax money to help protect our country. I think if you look back you will find that you said the military does pay you each month and you are hiding that from the public assistance program because you think you deserve more than what they are paying you.
