New rig.

Nice
so did you put any seafoam or anything in the oil before you did the multiple oil changes?
No, I've used Atf before, but I dont think it does THAT much. I was told along time ago by one of my instructors in tech school to use a cup of diesel in the crankcase every oil change, I've never tried it yet, but he swore by it and everyone of his cars had tons of miles on them with no issues. I've just never had the balls to do it. The purple jeep is gonna get it here soon. The procedure I described I've posted up many of times on NAXJA. It works. This lifter has been stuck for a long time, the previous owner did it after about a year and the lifter unstuck for a few weeks then came back, he just never did it again. I actually did the same thing back in early febuary to it when he brought it to my shop. Only I held it at 4k for like a min. The tick went away for a few mins and came back. The Jeep has set since monday morning. This weekend I'll fire it up to see if its back. The 91 has had the worse lifter tick I've ever heard, so my hopes wern't too high for it to fix it, but it did. Drove it about 500 miles last weekend with no engine issues. Also, I used to do this to my DD xj about once a month, just for about a min or little more. It sounds rediculous I know.

Here is a few more pics. This is the track bar I just bought from Zachandandy. It is a RE1660. I still need to fab a mount or buy one from RE.

This is a 99+ intake I bought from AmericanZero. Someday this will be mounted to one of the Jeeps, just dont have the time to do it right now. I'd like to modify it to accept the egr tube and the renix throttle body.

Last but not least, this is the header I've been looking at for my 89. Havent made my mind up yet, but it says it will fit the renix era jeeps and it has a carb EO#. Now I just gotta check the EPA's website to double check compatability.

Be sure to post up how you like those Falkens offroad. I had them on my 93 but didnt get a chance to take it offroad. I liked them on road and in the rain, but they did seem to tramline a bit on the hwy.

the o2 bung looks quite a bit further downstream than a factory system.

I have a set of MT/Rs Ill be wheeling on. These are gonna stay on the 91. Jonnie Walker is gonna borrow them for SoCal fest so we can let him chime in on how they wheel.

Chris, put your iFail away and do some work..

damn you must spend a fortune on oil. Thats awesome this motor can take that kind of abuse to "fix" a problem though. Just gained a new found respect for these ole' iron brutes.

Whos ugly POS is that at the far end?

:D

Thatd be JonnieWalkers bundle of gayness stinking up the shop.
That's fine, I have less into it than you people do with yours. (=
Gets better mileage too. It will be a single color some day, if I don't do some crazy vinyl wrap.

vinyl wrap for your newest self produced rap album!
i always see ghetto ass cars vinyl wrapped for some local, probably lame as hell, rappers...so funny

I believe it is spelled crap, but the "c" is silent. Haha.
There are a few ideas I have in my head as far as fun/interesting things to do with the wrap. Such as some sort of large digi-camo, video game type theme, Simpsons.. etc. Not sure tho, there are a few local places that do a good job with this.
