New rig.

sell them unless you don't plan to wheel it, then keep em for DD , keep the cops away sorta thing.
they will get broken, ripped off, and be one more thing to worry about. use the money from the sale to fund the build.

So I'm looking at a handful of new parts. Very spendy parts, all parts I want though...

D30
ZIP locker
4.88s
master install
F8.8
+ 4.88s
_____________ = $1100

RCV's for D30
= $1000ish

Truck-lite LED headlights
= $500ish

I think I need to sell Barney the Jeep to make some funds. I think $1600 would be fare and help out with finishing the 89.

check out national drivetrain for cheap gears. yesterday my new d30 4.88's arrived. $110.00 + ups.

I don't know man, thats a lot of money for only 1300 lumens. You could get the 40" LED bar from here for way less and have 8000 lumens.

**update**
Spent the weekend in SoCal. Picked up a few things. Some 3.5inch RE leafs, (2) Bilstein 7100s in the 10in flavor, 4.10 and up carrier for a d30, tow hitch with hardware and a 2in drop hitch w/ball, cylinder head, modified transfer case cross member, air horns, track bar, checked out the ARB 30 spline kit. Still doing some thinking on that one.

Last night I worked on the Jeep. Jonnie Walker came over again to help me. We installed the drop brackets and the track bar bracket. Pulled the bumper off to inspect what I believe to be a frame crack. Used a flap disc to clean the frame rail, welded it up and put the bumper back on. It has the Logans winch bumper which is too large and very thin steel, but the driver side plate should help strenghten the front end along with the Rubicon Express cross brace. Here is a picture of my weld, I've never welded one of these cracks before and I probably should have drilled both ends of the crack first...

Not the best weld and I should note that I already had used the flap disc to grind down the bead so I could get the bumper on. A little bit of pitting, but Im okay with it. What do you guys think?

brand new or used?
how much is he asking if its used versus new?

It's brand new and it's a good deal. Someone bought it, never got around to installing it and now here it is. It is the old alloy USA stuff if that helps at all. Kit itself is about 4-5 years old I believe, but still in the boxes.

Nice blog update..

so the front suspension is done ?

how many options did you look into for the relocation brackets?
I've only seen rough country, HD offroad, and liquid iron.
Thats it, well, I actually didnt know Liquid Iron industried made shackle relocators, I was aware of their leaf sliders though.

I'd choose HD offroad Engineering in a heartbeat. They were the first to manufacture the shackle reloactors for the XJ. Relocation brackets were being used before HD made them, but I had only seen homeade versions. They did it well the first time around and went further to improve on it.
