new rig (Black Betty)

I Went Through A Bunch Of Cut Off Wheels For The Dremmel And Three Hours But I Got The Drivers Side Cross Member Mount Cut Off.

The Old Bolts Were Cut Off So I'll Need To Figure Out A Way To Get Those Out Or Just Drill And Tap.

Looks Like I Will Need To Shorten The Arms About Three Inches And Figure Out The NewCaster When It's All Done.
Length
The Wheel Studs In The Front Are Pretty Short. Anyone Know The Stock length And Knarl For Chevy 44 stuff

Josh you may be able to go on the dorman site and get stock PN for stock studs and look up longer ones. Otherwise, your local (better than Vatozone) parts store should be able to look it up. Then, find you longer ones that will fit. If I remember tomorrow, I can do a little searching at work. You can text in the am to remind me if you like as well.

Ok, not much done lately. Just confused about what i will do with the front end.

I want to run my tnt long arms so i need to link the front.

Ruffstuff comes in around $300 and tnt truss double that. I am also looking into wfo fabbing one up but they are at KOH.

Leaning toward ruffstuff i just dont want this to take forever.

I would consider doing it yourself or at least staying away from WFO. Some guy at one point off craigslist buying parts told me he knows trevor and that he totally got screwed over by him at one point and they were friends.

I would call Artec if I were you and see if their front 44 truss can be modified for a XJ. Also they have cheap UCA mounts.

arctec has them for 15$..

or iron rock off road has them cheap too:

I'll give them a call today but they don't have anything for a front 44 on thier site

Ya I noticed that. I feel like they should have a hp44 one

Josh, if your axle is full width or narrowed? I left mine full width when I swapped it in and went with the TnT truss. I think the TnT truss is worth the money...it fit pretty darn well right out of the box and took all the work out of setting up the coil buckets. No measuring, just set it and forget it. I ordered mine with just the raised track bar mount and did not get the upper mounts because I was doing a three link. I used a ruffstuff uper on the passenger side when I finally set everything up and tied the mount into the track bar bracket. If you order the upper control arm mounts to work with your TnT arms, they will weld them up for you and it will be really simple to install from there.

I'll admit it wasnt cheap, but it will make setting up your axle to work with the TnT long arms that much easier.

Ya lou makes a good point. Maybe just socthat so its done quickly

I Called Artec But They Are At KOH Too. their stuff Looks Real Nice. I May Just Use Their Brackets And The Ruffstuff Truss.

Let's See How long It Takes Me To Get Two Broken Bolts Off And Install The Belly Pan. Building My Own May Not Even Be An option

use an easy out. or drill it out one size bigger and tap it for next size up of bolt.

Fwiw, I plan on narrowing a hp 44 to tj/lj 'rubicon' 44 width, and plan on adapting the artec truss for the rubi 44. It looks like it could be done easy enough.

Also given your width, I wonder if their jk 44 truss would work for you?

Those use the stock drivers cast mount. I need a bridge to weld on a new mount

I see. Well just buy something like Clayton or blue torch sells for the bridge, and build a truss off that if you feel the need...
