new rig (Black Betty)

Ok sounds good.

I do not have an Atlas, but I do not see why using at least the blue lock tite wold hurt anything.
Just curious, are you going to clock it up/flat or "stock" clock?

Once you figure out how you like it clocked, pull the studs and locktite the studs. I used those nylon lock nuts and flat washers to bolt it to the tranny. Just pulled mine to rebuild it and the tranny.

And second for the tcase mount, it's too much weight for the tranny tail housing, it's a recipe for a cracked transmission without it. Roark supply also has them and i think they are out of Arkansas.

Ruffstuff heim fit, 16 tpi. Problem solved there.

I cut the exaust at the down pipe and will now run 2.5" all the way back. I guess that is a good thing overall. I hope to have a shop do the work, i dont think i will have the time.

I really want to be at the Reno run.

I'll be ordering my 4 speed from daves.. What was setup like? does it come mostly assembled?

How long did it take from order to arrival? I'm gonna be on my toes pacing like im at an emergency room!

I Just read Advanced Adapters Suggests Running A New 3/8 Line For The Vent Tube. My Line Looks Like It Can Use Replace Anyway.

What Are You Guys Using For The Vent? I Was Thinking Of Using A Specter Pcv Valve.

Thoughts?

3/8th clear line to the engine bay maybe to the top of the brake booster area??

Maybe the valve is there for the purpose of fluid not puking everywhere if that were to occur? Your local parts store will have something like that and the hose you need.

IIRC, doesn't the stock line have a weird plastic piece on top of it?

My local shop didn't have jack. You are right, it is there to control the pukage I think or just keeping it from sucking crap in??.... and yes I believe there is a white plastic piece on the sock line. I read that might not flow fast enough.

I think I read to much, lol

I am just going to order the PCV valve. seems to do the same job...

Hey Jermey, my Atlas seems to have a few design changes noted for 2014 cases. It seems to have fill holes in the main case and the front reduction case. Do you know if that is true? And do I need to fill both or can I just fill from the top sight tube fitting like past years?? I assume so..

pretty sure i had to fill each case section on my 4 speed separately.
call AA to verify, you do not want to burn up your shiny new t-case!

3/8 Fuel Line To The Fire Wall Was Suggested.

With The Use Of An Atmospheric Pressure Breather Valve....

Thinking Of Using This But Am Not Sure If This Is What They Mean.

That is a pcv valve, not really what you need. A factory breather tube has what they call a jiggle valve on it. Pretty simple design, just a plug with a loose fitting cap on the end. Some people use a very small fuel filter to keep dirt and debris out of the line. K+N also makes a nice breather tube filter but may be too much money for what its worth unless you like the bling factor. :)

A trip to the junkyard will certainly pay off with a stock style jiggle valve, I have used just that for years with little issue. Fuel line or other oil resistant hose is best to keep the end from swelling and falling off the fitting on the t-case. I'm pretty sure I just used the factory breather hose for my 231 on the Atlas.
