Ages ago, I might have registered an account here to talk about Jeep stuff. I had become the second owner of the 96 XJ my mother bought new. 160K later, I had another one given to me, this time a two door. It makes the sixth XJ in the collection. I still drive Mom's Jeep, although it's not 2WD anymore. At around 150K, I swapped in a NP242 and related hardware, along with a non disconnect D30 to compliment the 8.25 rear. Shortly after, I added a couple of leaves in the back, spacers up front, rolled the rear fenders, and mounted 265/70/17s. All the while, it was touring the National Forests across southern New Mexico.

So now I'm back to talk about Jeep stuff. My name is David, and I like to go four wheeling.

Welcome back, I'd like to get out your way for some wheeling next time I'm out west. My brother lives in Phoenix and i have friends in Colorado and Utah. Done some overlanding in Utah and Nevada and drive my jeep out from Indiana to Moab in '13.

I'm in the oil patch of west Texas, there's not much to do around here. Lakes were great until it rained enough to cover all the trails. Not complaining, those were drinking water reservoirs we used to wheel in. $5 a day included camping per vehicle. Now we just take a canoe on top of the Jeep.

I'm getting deeper into Big Bend each time I go, but between four wheeling, paddling, and riding the Goldwing through there, there's too much to do for me in any orderly fashion.
