As a fan since '85, I've been checking out their new song, The Day That Never Comes. Pretty good. Hopefully, this can put that St. Anger debacle in their rear view.
:listenmus

New album comes out, Sept 12 or something. Might have to pick this one up. I haven't checked out a 'tallica album since Load which DID have some good songs on it.

I love Metallica, but their last good album, Black was mediocre at best. They need to do a lot of changing to get back to the Metallica of "Garage days, Puppetmaster, Kill em all and ...And Justice For All." But then again there is a lot of people out there that hated Metallica until after the Black album. To each his own...

I can't think of anyone who hated Metallica pre-Black. I remember it like yesterday, my best friend picks up some new metal that wasn't like the usual. Megadeth-Killing is My Business..., Venom-Black Metal, Metallica- Ride the Lightning, etc. The rest is history and now I'm corrupted...:skull2:

need to hear more! sounds good so far, My st anger cd is in new condition because it only made one round throught the cd player

BC==On their Myspace they have another track called Cyanide from the 1 off Ozzfest date a couple of weeks ago. It's not bad either. Yeah, you can never go home to Master, Kill or Ride(the Trifecta of Metal perfection), but good tunes nonetheless.

OMFG
I just went to set my alarm clock right after i clicked the link and this song was one. Wow. That happenes a lot to me. Ill be listening to a song in my head and its on the radio...............

How can you like a band that sued its fans?

Now go ahead quote the corporate answer.

They need to give up, they suck, and the new stuff is HORRIBLE!!!

Mattel-ica should have called it quits when they recruited Jason Instead...

Their new single sounds like a girlie version of any song on Ride the Lightening. I hate to say it but they haven't been the same since Cliff Burton died. No offense to Dave Mustane but he wasn't anywhere near Burton.
I love Metallica but I can't stand Laars. He's an overated douche bag.

dave was the singer, not the bass player. james stepped up to sing after dave got the boot, and cliff was replaced by jason.

Sorry for some reason I thought Dave played the base for them for a while. Either way Cliff was the best bassist they had.

I'm not impressed with the two new songs I've heard- sounds like the same wimpy garbage as Load, Reload, and St. Anger.I've been a fan since Kill 'Em All was released and IMO they've lost their edge/balls/drive beginning with the "Black" album.:thumbdn: :thumbdn: :thumbdn:
