They have thier own channel on XM radio right now playing nothing but MetallicA 24/7, WEEEEEEEEEEEEEBLARGHANAMAMA...!!!! I love it. I am sure its to promote the new album but i dont care. Its great to thumb through and not hear anything, or when some lame a$$ PSA comes on my talk radio station, i can hit the Metallica preset and all is immediately right with the world!
Love em or hate em, they are doing what they love and found a way to make $$$$$ at it. Cant blame them. Yeah, some of the stuff i have heard id lame a$$ whiner emo for sure. Linkin park " I hate my parents" poop in a bucket.
Oh well, i was a bit shocked with St Anger but man i get it. I like it after the little adjustment period. Its good stuff. To me anyways. And yeah im in my 30s, ive had every CD and then some imports, anything i could get my hands on at a CD shop back in the day. They changed as people and are rolling with it.Better that than being the guys people say "remember that on band" while you are playing the few songs people liked at a mall. Okay im done. yeah they went corporate, Lars seems to be a d!ck to me, Kirk has always seemed a little light in the loafers, but DAMN he can play one hell of a guitar. I have allways identified with James though. Dont know why. Mabye because we share a birthday. Whatever. And i just havent gone to rehab yet.
Oh well im done, not defending anyone here, just thinking out loud. Ill prolly download it like everyone else and them save or delete.

What I dont understand with Radio stations (I hate radio) is that they would never considered playing metallica when master of puppets came out... But now its common place. I guess the $$$$ is all that matters, not the quality of music.

I am listen now about 50 years to music.
I have seen and heard everything. I started with Zappa and now I am a great fan of Tool,Disturbed,Nevermore,Dream Theater,Shadow Gallery and Iron Maiden.
Metallica is dead. I listen only to unremastered CD's for quality!
Last new band with a very good sound is Lamb of god without the leadsinger Randy Blythe. LOL. I downloaded the ummastered instrumental mix from sacrament.(16 bit 44,1). amazing!!

When was the first time you guys have seen Metallica? Mine was Summer of 88 on the VH Monsters of Rock Tour at the Hoosier Dome. They blew everyone away. My best friend go to see them in 86 on the Master tour opening for Ozzy when when Cliff was still alive.

Hallo Metallica Lovers. I have heard the new album Death Magnetic.
I have to admit it is a good one!
Number 1 That was Just Your Life has a very good solo of Kirk.
Nummer 2 The End Of The Line is in beginning like TOOL. LOL
Number 3 is with a nice dubble base drumming.
I think they have listened to Dream Theater because the songs are longer than usual. LOL You can hear the influence of the producer of Audioslave ,RHCP and Slayer. (Rick Rubin!)
LOL I have already downloaded it, but it is not lossless (lower bitrate). I mean the higherCD quality will come about a few weeks. LOL:clap:
