New Dog .... Name Ideas

LOL, funny I use the names Nein and Aus all the time too. The whole herd answers to Gawd Damned Dogs. They just got done digging a three foot hole in the middle of my flower patch.
Oh hell...I couldn't imagine having a few at a time. ;) He was a good friend and required my constant attention. He wasn't a 'handful' but we were constantly training. 199 of 200 on the obedience exam, second to a Jack who scored a half point higher than he did. ;) I had better go before I lose it...I'm starting to miss him now. :(

Arak (after the liquor, for his color) and Chica. Arak is a Weimaraner trained as a blood hound. Chica is just wired. You can tell they're buddies.

We usually wait a while to see what names are fitting for the dogs actions .... right now we re just running some around in our heads.
No pictures yet !
And I totally agree with ending a dogs name in a "hard" sounding letter. Our Aussie is named Kyp as for the newfie ... we ve come up with a few ... Kato like the bumbling side kick from the pink panther movies .... and its funny someone mentioned tank 'cuz I was leaning towards panzer as a name untill my girlfriend said it sounded to much like pansy .... which just can't be for a dog that looks like he'll be an easy 120 pounds plus .... maybe we should call him tiny.
Anyways thanks for the input .

A good name for a newf is Thor that just suits them . They are huge. I have never saw one that had a mean streak, There totaly perfect for kids and a great family dog. my sister and brother in law have had them since I can remember and they love them. thier last one was all black and huge he weighed about 170, he would chew full cans of beer it was fun to watch.

Thanks for everyones input .... went out for a long day in the woods along the river with him today we decided that Panzer is very much the right name!!!

Theo (theodur Ursis) Teddy Bear. our other was Kodi for Kodiak. and as we only have 1 again we're looking for a second, They're awesome you'll love him

we have a choclate lab named Cira which means sun (so my wife says) she's awesome but in need of another lab buddy. Next one will be male and named Beau, short for Beaucephus.

Panzer is a great name. Congrats on the pup!

Best dog name ever: Sabot. Of coure the owner's a tanker, so it fits. Anyone know who I'm talking about...? MWC guys?

Ex Tread Head here. Sabot is kind of 1500 meters per second, anti tank suppository. APDS-T, *genenrally* Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot/ with Tracer, though there are a few different models, types and designations, like the APFSDS-T.

My present Bullies...

Colonel "Ollie"...

Captain "Basil"...

Brigadier "Briggs"...

I miss "Terra" Bull Ad Infinitum...

Buttercup or Snowball pretty much works for any of the larger breeds. I had a cat once that was named Mavis. Our JR Terrier is named Tippy (from Bob & Ray), but we call her "poops"
