Go with in cab remote, that is pimp...and you can make your copilot get out and run cord while you just chillax.

If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and heat shrink the terminal ends at the winch, that little bit of exposed wire will corrode fast.
Run the winch plug to the flat spot in front of the t'case shifter, that would be P.I.M.P.
I will have to see where a good mounting location would be. If I have the room I'll mount the plug in there next to it, then if I ever need to use the remote I can just run it out the window.

I had some shrink tubing but it wasn't big enough, then I said "screw it" and figured it would be fine. Glad to know it definitely needs it, I'll get some bigger stuff today.
I think I will be ordering some synthetic rope before WF. Any thoughts on getting 100' of rope vs. 50' of rope and a 50' extension? I'm leaning towards 50+50 so I can keep less rope on the drum.

Somone (cant find it) makes an interface box that allows you to use your cruise control buttons on the steering wheel for winch in/ out... that would be neat
