I did it on my 98 but mine was an auto. The 242 was out of a 98 grand, it was a direct bolt up. I did have to change the four wheel drive shifter inside because the gateing was wrong. For the light i had to take an extra wire from the transfercase to the main engine wire harness and splice into the harness. The driveshafts bolted right back up with no problem. hope that helps
NOPE...ore depends where your base comes from...witch means...input shaft length matters(witch donor it comes from)...than splines..guess 23 is the correct for 97 model...so ->
- May it be possibl to look for a ZJ donor?
- May the AWD auto be having a correct donor?(as I have the manual AX15)....
...so I might complicating this more than nescessery, but you know...it is a big sh... if you missed and suddenly have "nothing", but $ emty your account without any value for money
