Looks like you know what you are doing. Have you seen the back country there?

Wouldn't recommend that. I know a few people who have hit trees while SF'ed.

*Edit* hit me up sometime and come up for a night

Im down with a backcountry trip as well. And no I have never been to the backcountry around Alpintal, but I have heard good things. One of my ski buddies guided their last year but I couldn't ever make a trip.

Sounds like we need to get a cabin for a weekend. Show you guys the steeps and the deeps. Alpintal has been my #1 place for 5 years so I know some good lines. Hope no one is scared to duck a rope

Alpental back country area is sweeeet!! Been there many times...

My fav though is by far crystal back country, those mountain tops are just filthy to drop off of. I'll have to post up some pics....Good times for sure at Crystal!!

Sounds like a plan. Always down to duck a rope, or jump over it. You guys should post up some picks if you got them. Ive got a few hanging around somewhere but not too many from around here, I love seeing what some people can find. Oh and I guess we could start a new thread.

Holy hell! I forgot all about this thread! Thanks for the info everyone. I gotta say though it doesn't look like I'm going to get to do much of anything haha. I've been reading about a massive earthquake that is supposedly to happen between December 11th-18th in the Pacific Northwest, somewhere around the Hayward fault. I don't know how much truth there is to this considering that its based on webbot predictions, but after researching for the last few hours its very plausible. Webbot has been right in the past on several major events. Feel free to research the topic yourself and formulate your on opinion. This is not tin foil hat stuff either. All info I have read has come from credible and relevant websites. Nothin like Murphy's Law eh?

Uhhh WTF, I think your tin foil hat is still on, or perhaps you have been spending alot of time up in Bellingham smoking with the hippies already. ;)

No sh!t. I wonder if I should go back in time and fear Y2K. :rattle:

Well Hell. Looks like I should get another wheeling trip in before then...(quake).lol I don't see nothing wrong with having a nice jeep? I wheel mine, and it is still pretty nice (lessons learned on thrashing my 89), a few dents and scratches here and there..

Uh, Yeah. Hayward Fault.... Hayward California. Somewhere near Oakland California... Central California - Bay Area. You defenitely have your tin foil tuner tweaked to the wrong geographical channel. I don't recall that much peripheral damage to the Pacific Northwest from any of the San Fransisco quakes... We defenitely have our own tectonic plate concerns but if you are going to get specific and not only name a specific plate but an actual date ( and yes anything within a decade is very specific in geological terms) you should at least know where that fault is located.
