It may sound cheezy, but I'm so proud of you guys!

The whole day I sat around the live pirate feed listening to any news of the updates. I felt like I was waiting for news of my own family. It was so exciting to hear at each checkpoint as you guys passed. My entire workday was screwed! =)

And to have you guys finish in the top ten was just so awesome! I can't tell you guys how proud I am of you for your accomplishments. I only wish I could have been a part of it.

I don't know what to say other than, Congratulations guys! You did :: proud! :worship:

Richard and Paul did a great job. What a finish for there first try. It was great to be part of the team.

I think I had almost as much fun working as crew. It was a blast to jump back and forth from pit to pit. Once the boys were rolling again from pit two we headed over to pit three. they were moving so fast I couldn't even get through a beer before they came in.

In case some of you havn't seen the split times yet. Richard ran wreckingball in 12 min. That was 2 min faster than cambell.

Next year, a 50w 2m rig needs to be in there. Something durable like a FT1500M, or an 1802. JB said the 1500 I loaned him worked great. I was ready to run over to Pit 2 and get a shaft, but Richard said one was on it's way. Good comms could've shortened that downtime considerably. Remember, stroker in the fall, make sure everything is working well, then just maintenance, sit back and wait... Still, outstanding job! Watching the drag race to the finish with Dean Bulloch and Richard was cool, we had a nice perch on means butte.

There were 19 DNF's, just finishing is impressive, 7th overall is really impressive. You guys did really well.

In case some of you havn't seen the split times yet. Richard ran wreckingball in 12 min. That was 2 min faster than cambell.

I plotted out a whole bunch of the time splits, and we had the fastest time in the race up Wrecking Ball, from ck 8 to ck 9. For any of you who have been out there, that's from the sand wash road before turning to go to the bottom of Wrecking Ball to the top of the ridge on the way to the out at the saddle.

We also had the 2nd fastest split from the bottom of Wrecking Ball, down Clawhammer and out to the lake bed by the sand dunes, then up Lower and Upper Big Johnson, and down to the wash road. That's ck 8 to ck 11. JR Reynolds did it the fastest in 34 min and we tied with Casey Currie at 38 min. Next fastest through there was Shannon Campbell and Rick Mooneyham at 42 min. We didn't do too bad once we got that driveline fixed.

We were surprised to see so much carnage so early, but not overall. No ones rig had ever been pushed that hard, and it was always a temptation to overdrive the rig and the terrain.

No invites or info about next year yet, other than that the course will be different.
