NAXJA Holiday Toy Drive, November 21st, 2009

is anyone planning on bbq for saturday @ hollister? if not I usually just stop @ safeway in hollister and get deli sandwiches. If anyone is coming down in a daily driver and wants to ride along I have 2 extra seats.

There is no offical plan for a BBQ. Last few times we tried to have a pot luck everyone just brought their own sandwiches and the BBQ went to waste.

I already have a few toys from some of my co-workers.

I will be riding in Letterman's green TJ, so keep a lookout for us around 10.

sounds good we will getting down there around 9am. tow rigs (2) dodge silver 2500 cummins w/ car trailers. gray xj , blue xj. we have some toys to bring also.

i'll be heading down, just not exactly sure what time. i've gotta work at 7:30 for an hour or two in the city, and will be heading down after that. i'll be riding solo (see where the name comes from?!) if anyone needs a seat.

Nickandgus is towing my Jeep down for me, and Starboard D will be driving down behind us in his Jeep.

We will be in a white PSD pulling a white XJ on 35s, and a maroon XJ on 32s.

I'm going to try getting there around 10:00AM. Still having over-heating issues, but I think I may be able to keep it calm during the run. Usually I don't have issues while crawling, just the hills to the problem... (so if you see a "champagne" color xj on the side of the road... stop by and say hi.. :D)

Oh yeah, dogs are allowed right? Going to bring mine... I'm pretty sure I brought him to hollister before but can't remember 100%

Tenny - Dogs are allowed.

We'll be there around 10ish with toys in hand :-) Starboards - lookin' forward to seeing you guys....

See ya'all there....

In the grand tradition of 'f- it, run it', I:

wired my electric fan to a switch

lowered rear ride height by about 1"

didn't figure out why my brake lights don't work

bought a toy I'd be happy to get!

Just got back from the run. Thank you to everyone who came out, we collected 102 toys today. The generosity of the Sierra Chapter and our friends overwhelmed both me and everyone else who came out. You all deserve a huge round of applause.

We had a great turnout. 13+ rigs. Hung out at the obstacle course until around noon. The group ran the jungle trail all the way up to the top. Once we finished up jungle we headed over to white rock. We finished the day at the top of the world.

Pics are coming soon.

So how did things go at Prairie City location?

Thanks again to everyone who came out. If you didn't get a chance to go or you still would like to donate a toy you are in luck. The toys will not be donated until the first week of December. Send me a PM and I will arrange to pick up your toy for donation.
