Thats a killer deal for 200 bucks though...heck, the front fenders and rear hatch alone are about the same price at the boneyard. Even if you've gotta put a couple thousand into it to get it running and up to trail speed your still WAY ahead!
Frank I have a running 2.8L in the garage, all it needs are bearings. The previous owner got the vacuum lines mixed up and the entire bottom end was Pinged to death. Purrs like a kitten though and lots of power; makes a nice paper weight. You can have it, seriously, just come and get it
My first XJ was a 85' Pioneer with a 5spd and 2.8L, I called it "BITCH Jeep" because that's what I said every time I tried to loosen a bolt and it broke off. The next one was an 86' (motor in the garage) which got the motor out of the 85'. It was called, yup, you guessed it "BITCH Jeep II". The 98' hasn't got a name, but the Samurai was dubbed the "Redneck convertable" by the Wife
