dude that sucks, dont know what tranny you got but my knock turned out to be a not just cracked but completely broken flex plate. It was boke all around the bolts when I removed the flex plate I knocked the center out with a sewing hammer. The autos also are known for the pump knockin a little according to better built transmissions Hope you find it good luck
So far I've pulled the pan and checked the connecting rod bearings (at the campground in Moab).
Replaced the flexplate, which led to me screwing up the tranny and torque converter.
Replaced the tranny and torque converter.
Put a stock head back on it to reduce the compression ratio a bit.
Found cracks in the header and had to send it in for a replacement. Waiting on the replacement to get here.
Dropped the pan and found the wear marks. Repaired that (yeah, right
Thanks for the offer but I'm done with it. Gonna focus on building bumperz, sliderz, and fixing the Stratus so I can sell it. Then I'll be in a position to yank the motor and tranny and stuff a 5.3L into the heep.
