He's getting her ready for the Crawl! Yeah boy!

aint makin it to the crawl...i gotta save for the jeep jamboree at snowshoe mtn. finally driving the jeep again, new alternator is working great. ive got it down to about a 15 min swap now (took it out and put back about 10 times). also had to clean out my air intake and throttle body...souvenirs from the mud hole.

sorry man, once i started sinking in i had to get out of there quick!

ill have to grab a copy of all ur pics/video sometime from the weekend.

oil change/ filter and seafoam last night, also cleaned interior from windrock.

check engine light came on, p0138...downstream 02 sensor. cleared it, and waiting to see if it comes back. Think its just a bad ground

its the 02 sensor after the cat, i dont think seafoam would affect that one. seafoam can get junk on your sparkplugs, and a few other areas. This is the 2nd time ive used it on this jeep. No code has come back, so i think im good.

Warn transfercase skid is installed, re-welded my old luggage rack together. started cutting/folding the inner fenders

Tomken gas tank skid is installed. I had to make a new nut plate for the passenger side mounts for the hitch (snapped 3 out of 4 bolts taking the hitch off).

I also installed sylvania silverstar head lights...now my lights are nice and bright. Pics coming soon....

Worked with my friend and did the gears in the HP30. Hope to have the axle ready to go in by sunday. Still have to clean it up, paint it, swap Aussie locker over, weld up mini lca skids...

up next...regear 8.8...

yep, the axle is going in this weekend. 8.8 is already at my friends house with the gears...so hopefully we can work on it soon.

Eric what kind of grease did you use to help keep the components together while installing the locker?

looks awesome!!!

the tomken stuff is beef!
but i'm not impressed by the warn tcase skid... although the one i've seen/dealt with was on a 242 :dunno: ...still better than nothing!

wish i had a purdy axle like that dangit.

...have fun at the jeepy jam :dunce:

Just a tub of bearing grease

ok, thanks...im getting it tonight, and swapping the aussie over. axle is going in tomorrow since i took the day off. dropped the 8.8 off as well...that thing was a PAIN to get in my jeep by myself...its about 30lbs heavier than i am.

I like the warn tc skid...it bolts up nicely using a lot of bolts. good coverage as well. if i dent it in or whatever i can always add more metal to make it stronger. the axle wont be that clean for long...

got a bit done tonight:

removed tie rod/drag link, took out axle shafts, took out carrier from the low pinion...removed the aussie and installed it in the 'new' carrier. only have to put the cross pin back in it, and pop it back in the new axle. ill take some pics tomorrow...i was rushing and forgot

axle is in with 4.56 gears and aussie:

I ended up having to go get new bolts for the hd diff cover...since the ring around the edge is 3/4 inch thick steel!

everything is back together, off for a test drive
