It has been a great build. I am very happy with how everything turned out. I did have one rear locker failure and don't know why. I have since put a new one in and returned the bad one, so I have a spare sitting on the shelf if it ever happens again. Other than that they have performed better than expected. We will see what 37s do to them soon. Worst case I think I can put some alloy axles in them and be good to go. The BDS 4 link works great. The only thing I have done is some extra gussets on the upper crossmember mounts where I noticed a cracked weld. I am pretty hard on my junk so nothing that has been unexpected.
 
Getting back on my jeep after a few years of being parked and in need of a rebuild.




Ruffstuff frame stiffeners and LII front frame plates



Getting the new front housing all setup with the old truss cut off my old bent JK housing.






Welded 1/2" nuts to replace the factory nutserts on to frame stiffeners before welding them in.







New heim steering all built.

So here is where I'm at. Next step are 2x6 rockers and mini boat sides.
 
This weekends progress. Have to do something with my factory rockers. My old rock sliders have been smashed so far up in to the factory rockers that I can hardly open and close my doors.



Quick sketch of what I am thinking and how to cut it out.



Cut the destroyed rockers out and installed 2x6 square tube


Hard to see but was able tie the cage in to a couple of places to the new 2x6 square tube

You know by the time you get this done i'll have totaled 2 jeeps. No i am not kidding.LOL. When will you be ready to go out and NOT beat the crap out of it? Maybe i can get a couple of folks to go on a night run.I'll be able to go out about the middle of August. I'm trying for sooner, the wife is keeping me close to her so i don't break my foot/ankle for the 4th time this year.


OH it's looking good too. ;)

Well I'm at about $300 in material and I do not want to even think about how many hours of cutting, grinding, and welding between the frame stiffeners and the boatsides. I even pulled the transmission out to weld the inner edge of the stiffeners. I still have not finish welded everything up yet and I need to sheet metal the bottom of the doors that were cut off. I can perform the labor at a friend price for somewhere in the $5000-$6000 range. Yeah I'm that excited to do another set.
 
Great looking rig. Happened to stumble across your post on the mini boat side things in the other thread then found this. I already have the welded in drip rails and I was thinking about something similar to tie back to the frame rails.

Wondering if you can feel any difference in twist? Frame stiffeners always stuck me as as an inefficient way to fight twist since it's basically two flat plates you're twisting around one another rather than a proper box (or triangle) section like you have.
