MWC Members; Who do you support?

I am sure this won't be the last time we are in this position, I can see donating to different groups as the time comes. I am glad to see we had a far amount of discussion on this thread, you all need to speak up and let us know how you want YOUR chapter run.

All suggestions are valid, all suggested groups have merits, thank you all for your ideas and thoughts.

Ditto what Rev already said above. Thanks for the discussion it's good to know the members opinions and where people stand on things. SPEAK UP!
I hope we have this same oppurtunity again.

I have informed the NAXJA BOD that the MWC's choice is WOHVA.

Awesome, Mike!! I'm sure it will be put to good use by those guys.

ZR-Steve, you got a couple of wires crossed there

Who? Me? :confused1

My wiring started shorting out after 50. Trying to type facts while at training and ducking the instructor is getting harder to do for this ol' crank. :rof:

i vote for the place in northern MN. Gilbert I believe. some nice hardcore wheeling there...

You are a day late.....and $35 short.

:D

Rev

more posts than me and you haven't became a member yet. Whats up with that smitty:huh:

Hale and Rev. It seems like WOHVA was a good choice. Even though i'm sure i will never wheel in Wisconsin, I'll settle with that!

Anytime you get the hankerin' to wander up north you're welcome to tag along on some runs we do up here. Great scenery and lots of fun. We hit McCaslin a couple times a year, the pipeline, Apple Valley Farms is a nice run twice a year and there's a couple of runs in Dresser that are a blast to run.

Not a member but...
Badlands' new owners, (former Paragon park owners around Hazletown, PA). They have done great things in the past at Paragon, and purchased Badlands in April of 2008. I would love to see the donation go to a family that has completely comitted themselves to making a great off-road park!
They already made some really good changes so far, and I'm sure this donation would go to great use.
Also, they got screwed by "the man" back in Hazleton, so it is always nice to see an example of a really bad situation not sucking all the moral out of a small business owner!

The money can only go to a public entity, The Badlands is a private business.

I thought I'd pass this on so that MWC NAXJA members know how much their donation to WOHVA was appreciated!

Special thanks go out to four outstanding groups! Damage, Inc., Extreme Offroaders, Mad City Jeep Abusers Group & NAXJA have all stepped up in their own unique ways to support OHV recreation and WOHVA.
The members of Damage, Inc. have sponsored one of the many gates needed to secure recreational access to the Mole Lake Indian Reservation. In fact, Damage, Inc. is hosting a fund raising event at Giggles Comedy Club in Brookfield, Wisconsin on January 25th in the hopes of raising enough funds to sponsor a second gate. If you're not busy, stop in and help them raise these much needed funds!
The Extreme Offroaders have just renewed their commitment to WOHVA by renewing as a WOHVA Supporting Club for 2009. Way to go!
The Mad City Jeep Abusers Group (MCJAG) has again supported the cause by all becoming WOHVA Individual Members. Outstanding!
And, special thanks to NAXJA! This group just stepped up big with a $1000 general donation to WOHVA. Outstanding support from an outstanding organization!
A big THANK YOU goes out to all four groups for realizing that OHV recreational opportunities here in the Badger State should not be taken for granted. Access depends on doing all you can to support groups such as WOHVA! THANKS again to those groups and all their members!

Thanks Ron!
I'd been checking every couple of days since the donation was made and hadn't seen anything where they recognized receiving it. . I was starting to get a bit concerned.
Thanks for posting that up.

Back up for discussion.......

Looks like we're going to have the opportunity to do this again. Any other suggestions? We've got a short deadline to meet. The more ideas the better!

Well of course I would like to see it go to WOHVA again as I feel the state needs more work to be ORV friendly... However, I also think there are plenty of places throughout the chapter that could benefit from this... I was going to recommend Northwoods OVerland, however that is another privatly run Park...
C'mon Guys lets hear some more ideas!

XJ STRYKER regearing fund!

It would then be going to Brianho13 for labor!

He would then spread the wealth in to HDOffRoadEngineering.

Which many products are purchased from us here in the MWC.

And the roof rails would be protecting Jeeps and Trees from unnecessary carnage!

On the real what are some of the suggestions we have this year. I am not up for reading a 4 page thread at the moment.
