Second... I'd check your retainer rings, have they spread part so they're looser than usual? You should have to push them pretty hard to get them into position. Also if they're popping free check the clips that hold them into place, perhaps bend them out a bit so they hold tighter.

Nope Iron sights my scope mount isn't in yet.

After polishing the extractor and the rest of the bolt It's operating real smooth. Extractor could be better but that's the Mosin.

Sights are off a bit, she shoots a little right but everyone has that issue with their irons.
It is consistent though.

If she shoots consistent, you've got a good barreled action. A lot of those where sold with worn out barrels/bolts.
When you get your proper scope mount and zero her in, she will be twice the fun.

I was shooting my M38 with iron sights and ding-ing a target somewhere in the 750 yard range. lol. It was a crackup.

Both my Mousins shoot very straight and are consistent. Guess I got lucky.

Got my tax return and I'm tempted to run to the local Dunhams to grab a 91/30 for ~$80. I think I'm gonna stick it in the closet and plan out my approach with a LOT of research.
