Im going to be camping in Monache this weekend (y'all welcome to come, but Im just doing family camping, not wheeling) and Im wondering who might be available and nearby Sunday if I need recovery.

Im going with a 2WD Tundra who has a very competent driver, but it might just not be enough to get him up the hill on the way out and I only have hooks on front and a strap.

Thanks!

Drool. I need a weekend up there....just can't be this one :(

Bring a compressor so he can air down if needed.

That's a long way to drive to help a 2wd truck, but I doubt you'll need it. A tug in one spot on the way out is all he might need, might not need anything.

Yeah, we will have a compressor along and I don't expect to have to make the call, just trying to be prepared if I have to - especially with both of us having our wife and kids in tow..

When it's just the boys having to deal with an issue, it's just an adventure and part of the day. When wife and kids are involved it turns into the, "worst trip ever", lol

Well, the Tundra made it in / out with no air down, 2 adults, 3 kids, 2 dogs and a bed full of gear and no issues except for one spot on the way out where he had to take a 2nd run at the hill, tuck the mirror and hug the trail hard left to avoid getting sucked into a rut that the Landcruiser group ahead of us was courteous enough to dig.

My XJ was mad that I teased her with what was supposed to be a 4x4 trail and then didn't give her anything harder to play on, but it was my wife's first true trip out playing, so that was cool.

Ill throw some pics up later, but really nothing really worthwhile or wheeling, was a family, hang out at camp, hike a little trip..

Some pics..
