Mom takes Jeep into town...

i work at a country store, alot of things arent exactly up to code or legal, and i can only work full time in the summer.

Yup, thank god for places like that, I used to work a lot more than 20 hours a week too, at a rural gas station a mile from my house, maybe 8 cars after 7pm till I closed at 9pm and two of them local police, 10 on fridays. I used to get a lot of homework done then. If I was home I probably would have burned up the time watching TV or some other crap. My math teacher would stop in 1 or 2 nites a week and spend a couple of hours tutoring me when I hit a tough area. That was back in the days of cash when you had to know how to count money and give change, literally, gas was 15-25 cents a gallon :D :D :D :D

Mine stops better in snow when in 4wd. I have no idea why, but I did it today in about a foot of snow in 2wd and in 4wd and there is a difference IMHO.

4wd had nothing to do with braking. I had a girl friend that would claim the same BS and there is nothing that changes you braking distance when in 4wd, no matter what your ass dyno says.

man i wish mine was on a rural road but its right off the highway. i pump a shit load of gas tell you what. i wish my teachers were like that. all they care about is a pay check it seems. and they all live out of town. :(

my wife hates my 99 because of the lockers. she doesnt drive it. then the fell inlove with my 88. i had to take it away from her and give her the 2000. she killed a mustang with it.

so happy it was her jeep and not one of mine. (the 99 would have killed some one and the 88 might have turned into a parts rig)

hope it aint too badly busted man.

Stuff like rent and utilities...

I'm not trying to give you crap. I was 16 too, about a hundred years ago, and that's one of the upsides to being 16. (Another upside is 16 year old girls, but that's a whole 'nother thread...)

I'm just sayin', it's your mom, dude. I'm sure she has forgiven some of your little accidents...
he didn't say he was going to punish her

I was sorta referencing this:

...but you're right, rereading it, it looks a lot less like he was being a prick, and a lot more like a goofy joke...

As such, I was probably a bit harsh, and would like to apologize...

Sorry, man!

Robert

its all good man i wasnt being a prick its just that i work my ass off to have a 4x4 and if some one else breaks it i dont have the money to fix it. thats why im saying if someone else broke it then shouldnt it be there responsability? i can understand that if she had bought the rig for me then iut would be a different story. im not just a selfish little kid, i work hard for the things i have. just like everyone else on here. but dont sweat it, i can hold my own

Well, obviously, if I borrowed your rig, and managed to bust it, I would make damn sure I made it right.

But, jeez, man, your mom? Seriously?

Robert

yeah, i gotta agree, My mom could accidently slide off the road and run my rig into a tree, or any other scenario, and i would suck it up, and start fresh. if you show some respect about the "Accident" normally a parent will do whatever it takes to Help fix the situation.

You'l learn, It dont matter what YOU worked to get, What matters is what They work to give you when your NOT working. aka.. thats your life-line

my mom is too embarrassed to drive mine

my mom does not drive mine unless certain conditions are met. Her conditions. Last tiem she did my a favor while I was on a TDY and took it to the shop for an alignment for me, well the doors were not on it and she said she felt like everyone was looking at here the whole way.

wel it turns out nothing was broken anyways, i think it just popped out of 4wd and she probaby tried to put it back in without letting off the gas or something. all is good. i know what your saying about my mom doing so much for me and i obviously wouldnt be here today f it werent for her but put yourself in a 16yr old kids shoes that makes minimum wage trying to scrounge up enough money to fix his baby. and its not like im pissed off at her or forcing her to fix it. :peace:

my mom is about 5'4" and 55 (dont tell her i told you) i let her use my 91 w 6.5" and 33's when i fixed the axle shaft on her tempo. mom gets free mechanic work and i give her a hell of a discount on parts(free) after laughing for ten minutes her trying to get in i pulled it over to the big rock in the yard. when she got groceries she parked by the curb to get in and out. she loves it says she can see all the other cars now and wants one maybe a zj. but she hit another car with it he pulled out in front and she just pinged him she had to stay in the jeep when the cops showed up because she was afraid she wouldnt be able to get out or back in again lol. just another dent no harm no foul it is mom anyway.
