Moab, the people.

I've got a better one for 'ya!

I said to Mil a year ago, during lunch on Cliffhanger:
That trail will do wonders for a fear of heights, cure it, or just feed it to an incurable level.
This spot on Flat Iron Mesa really gave me the willies:

It's a couple hundred foot dropoff into a really pretty little canyon from a trail that has a bunch of rocks that are all tilted towards the edge so you are leaning and slipping off rocks in the direction of that abyss. I'm pretty good with heights but that spot really creeped me out.

Who wants to go next year? :D

I got more of a thrill about 15' before where I'm setting in the pic. Dad and Jeff both decided it would be a good thing to hang on. I little 6" drop on a side hill can make my jeep lean amazing well. And it gives wonderful view of the bottom.

I can't believe you drove that without a spotter and my sister leaning out the window telling you were to go. She would drive you off the edge and ask on the way down if that was the correct line. :D

Now I know that JV sun has fried your brain cells over the years. :D

Actually, most of the trails I've been on that one would probably be the best in the snow. That slickrock sidehill might be interesting though. Xjeeper's story of Hells Revenge in the snow is much better.

The wife and I went up Top of the Word in the snow once. That cliff provides a great view with 30mph winds mixed with a little snow. Reminded me of home.

Angie was actually really good at spotting and navigation. I'm glad I didn't have to test her rock-stacking abilities, though. :)

She did ask if I wanted a spotter before I drove through. I said I could could get it just fine... then realized that she might want to get out. So I ask her, "do you want out?" Angie: "No!" Brave woman she is. :D

When we ran porcupine, heard a mt biker say "Are you sure you can drive up that?"

Oh, and meeting beez made the trip worth wile :D

Here's the resident bone-dicker eating breakfast on Sacramento pass, while your's truly rebuilds a CV shaft.

Cherry pie and bud light, the breakfast of champions.

After careful examination I have found this shot to be a setup. :D

1. Jes doesn't have nearly a big enough grin (or frown) to be drinking in the morning.

2. There is a gatorade setting on the back bumper of his own Jeep.

3. There hasn't even been a bite taken out of the pie.

I think the real story is Crash had him hold the beer and pie after he realized he couldn't hold those and the driveshaft at the same time. Then he had someone shoot the pic to use in later harrassment of Jes (great idea).

Sorry Crash, I could have let this slide a day or so ago. I just couldn't deal with the depression when finding out URF will no longer be offering fine products.

I was bummed when I found out you wouldn't be joining us in Moab this year Sean. I think you need to buy back your old house in my neighborhood--I enjoyed the evening welding light shows from down the street!

Oh, and Jes did in fact consume a Bud Light and a pie for breakfast. ;)
