I just came back from running Swamp Lake trail last weekend. The trail itself is in fine form, and the hardest I have seen it in 11 years. In the past the normal requirements for this run was 31" tires and a full locker. This year, the requirements are going to change a bit in the interest of keeping the run moving without much problem.
The minimum vehicle requirements are as follows:
Day 1: Brewer Lake Trail, 33" tires and at least 1 full locker
Day 2 - 4: Swamp Lake Trail, 33" tires and at least 1 full locker
Day 5: Red Lake/Coyote Lake trails, 31" tires, it is recommended to have underbody protection and rock rails as well.
Day 6: Bald Mtn, stock tire size OK, optional obstacles can be found on this trail and the needs to run them vary, know your rig before you try anything too technical.
Along with the above requirements, if you are running Brewer Lake or Swamp Lake and have stock axle shafts and/or stock steering it is required that you carry spare parts and the tools required to change them. As with any other
run safely attached tow points are a must have.
