looks like I will be driving the wifes 4x4 Xterra as the Jeep is giving me an issue I have not figured out yet since the motor swap.


Still need to figure out how to get all the air out of the motor (cooling system) and figure out why the transmission dont want to shift gears (short run to the stop sign and back).
I drained the torque converter when I swapped the motors out and added fluid but guess I need to double check the fluid level.
I used the torque converter from the 2wd that went to that motor and flyweel. The part numbers on 2wd and 4wd showed the same numbers so figured the 2wd one having 100K less miles would be better.

It was awesome to get the families together over some awesome food just before this holiday week.

I've lived here close to 3 yrs and haven't gotten to go wheeling once...granted I haven't had an XJ the whole time...but now I have TWO! Neither of which is built...who wants to help!? I have a blank slate white 99 XJ. I bought front and rear bumpers from Nates 4x4 as well as rock sliders. But guess what...no lift or tires yet lol. I've got things all backwards! But I'll take my dd (black 99) up to LBL to play around. It's only got a 2"bb and 30" tires, lol.

Im going to be replacing a fuel pump and some engine mounts but if she will run Im interested in coming along even if I have to bring something else.
