Mag Light Ceiling Mounts...

I wanna mount both of my 4 d-cell mag lights right to the roof and i have seen it done but dont know how? Can anyone tell me how to do so??

It would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

I have seen these mounts at Wal-Mart for like $7 i think...I'm not sure i would trust them to hold the mag onto the roof because they are plastic clips...getting hit in the head by a solid aluminum 2.5" diameter rod is not my idea of a good time off roading. I made one for mine that uses hose clamps which i welded little "T" handles to the screws and welded a little strip of metal betweel the two clamps and drilled holes in that so that it will mount. I have it screwed to the drivers side of the center console. I can post a picture if anyone wants...I think i'd actually prefer the clips for my application, but the rig i made up might be better for the ceiling mount.

alright i'll get on that...

i have seen what you are looking for in a bicycle shop. i work in one currently and we carry these little carriers(5 inches long or so) that hold falsh lights to a water bottle cage mount on a bike, they are metal, they have 3 or 4 clips on them and with a piece of velcro the light is surley not coming out of them, the holes are pre drilled in the mount you can mount it any where, they are like 8 bucks, hope this helps

speaking of bike parts....while i'm at the picture taking i should snap a few shots of the cup holder i made for my jeep..its pretty extreme and will hold anything but a large soft drink or other gigantic cup or mug that will barely fit through your window at the drive through anyway....

the flashlight mount...

and here's my handy little cup holder. it's just 2 bottle cages screwed to a custom cut piece of aluminum which i bent to the contour of the console, brush polished and screwed into the plastic. it holds a 20oz can nicely with a "beer cozy" (neoprene can insulator). The top two fasteners for the bottle cages are rivets, and the other 4 screws you see are screwed into the console. oh yeah, and thats a home brew shift boot fastner in the background too...yet another piece of brushed aluminum on my jeep =D

Screw mag lights. I've had several of them and they always have dead batteries when needed. I've gone to Streamlights and I'm happier than all can be. They are lighter, brighter, and always charged. Here is what I have in my XJ, I haven't mounted the charger/holder yet cause I'm not exactly sure where I want to do so. Right now it is just wired up and resting on the passenger side floor.

Could do like I do with mine ....
put the last battery in backwards and when you need it flip it back over. Batteries last a lot longer that way.
But, YES ... I would like to have one of the rechargeable ones.

BTW .... I have those plastic clips for my mag light and they work great, just never wanted to hang the light from the roof.

On another note......
OK ... Iam a retard

That's a hand throttle which i don't have connected right now because the cable needs to be longer. It works great when run correctly though--you can just grab it with your index finger and pull to accel/hold throttle. it is incredibly nice in low gear over bumps!
