M&G to celebrate/distribute land use donations

So, I'm hoping a bunch of us can get together to give out two rather large checks to two very deserving causes who continue to do great things in preserving our local trails, The Friends of Fordyce and the California Off Road Vehicle Association!

Bret from the Friends of Fordyce has requested a Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evening, and I think 7pm would be a good fit for most of us. As Ken at CORVA suggested, I think we should plan on meeting at Sudwerks in Davis. Hopefully that way, we'll make it easier on the Bay Area folks along with the Sacto guys.

How does Tuesday, 1/31 at 7pm sound? (At Sudwerks in Davis) Too soon after the other two M&G's we got going on?

Davis is way too far for anyone coming from the bay area on a week night, with all the ugly traffic on 80 and other highways.

But maybe you don't need all the bay area people, the FOF and CORVA people are who matter most.

+1, there's no way I can make a 6+ hr round trip on a weeknight with that traffic. All that matters is that they get the checks, we have some people there, and we take some photos. Good job to the previous Sierra Chapter BOD to make this possible. Big thumbs up. These are two very deserving groups.

I didn't do anything more than any of you that paid your membership dues, or bought a hotdog or a raffle ticket at SierraFest, or spread the word about , or have frequented this forum and made it the type of place we all enjoy, etc, etc! That's why I'd love to see a lot of people show up... this is all of us! Everyone has played a part!

Probably not. Its a 2.5hr drive one-way from San Jose. A 5-hr round trip (plus time hanging around) is not in the cards. Its better to just have the North Bay and Sacto people there.

I really let the traffic bother me, I am flexible and can make it any day.
