LUVMYJP Plate Tour 2006

Re: LUVMYJP Plate Tour 2004

Mighty, mighty disappointed in you Terry:looser:.......when you said that you had a great idea for the plate before it's next trip..... "just trust me"......I didn't think it would wind up like this. :flamemad:
I don't expect you'll get too friendly of a response at any NAXJA runs you plan to show up on.......have fun wheeling alone jackass........ I mean WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??!!!!! :twak::twak:
I wish there was kick in the nads emoticon on here......I hope your PC gets a virus and frys.......

Tragic ending to the tour......who wants to play with half a plate? It's like riding half a skateboard..... it's just not the same. Truely sorry for this John, I'll pay for a new one and for the ticket too. PM me with your addy and the $$ amount for a replacement.

Jeff

Who wants the LUV side?

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA !! Don't try and profit from your silly screwup!!!!

I say you should keep both halves, ziptied to your rollcage......so when you're sitting there in your dimly lit garage......wondering why no one wants to wheel with you anymore........there will be the stark reminder, in full view.......this thread officially sucks......thanks to you!! Plan on your Rep color going into the red soon.........

I'm not sure. If the pic was taken with a flash, that could be the right color. look back at TRNDRVR's previous pic's.

http://www.relia.net/~dfrazier/LUVMYJP6.JPG

The problem is that the pic is a bit fuzzy, which can hide detaila as wel as photochop edits. If it is a false plate, it seems to be a pretty good copy. The wear marks are about right, the fold on lower left, the four small holes are in the right places (although the upper right one seems to appear to move closer and further from the P in various pics). It looks like the paint on upper mounting screws got torn up a bit more from when the plate started its journey.

It looks like it may be the real plate. Given the focus, it almost looks like a photochop pic. I can't zoom in any closer to see the finter details though.

I think the real plate is and has always been safe in the states. This is simply a copy that has been traveling its way around this whole time. But then again, I was watching the X files reciently and like a good conspiracy :D

Re: LUVMYJP Plate Tour 2004

Hey Okie. You asked me what you wanted a pic taken with the plate...I wanna see the pics of it in the shear. And don't tell me you don't have them...No one would pass on taking those pics.

Now calling 100% :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs:
Those would have been the first pics you showed us....Not some in your living room.

So where is the whole plate heading next?

Not one pic was taken in the sheer. I never got that far. I was lining up the plate and accidently stepped on the pedal. I honestly felt so terrible (you know the feeling when your stomach just kind of goes blah, and all the blood left my head) that I found the piece that was sheered off and left the shop. By the time I got home, though, I didn't feel so bad and it actually seemed quite humorous. But now I feel bad again for ruining the tour.

Call BS if you want, but if this is a fake, wouldn't someone who had it have called me out?

John, since I am reponsible, feel free to bill me, not Jeff. Again, sorry.

Re: LUVMYJP Plate Tour 2004

I'll take it to Vegas and the Jobber show no matter the condition!

good shears don't leave marks.

I think the plate should be cut more and sent to different locations at the same time!

good idea!

Re: LUVMYJP Plate Tour 2004

I realize this is none of my business... but, since I've been in the printing biz for 29 years and after a careful look at those livingroom pics and comparing it to some of the pics taken in Australia ... I believe its a printed version of the real plate.

The proportion and gauge doesn't look right and it's too flat on the bottom edge... not to mention those living room pics were posted approximately 12 hours after the last ones in Australia.

I may be wrong ... and it's possible the plate could have been sent to Oklahoma days before the last ones in Australia... but I would question the timing.

Just my .02 from a casual observer.

PS: Thus far, this is the best NAXJA thread I've encountered IMHO.

Re: LUVMYJP Plate Tour 2004

Okie Terry is a total fake. Compare the bottom edge of the plate in both of these pictures.

The orginal plate has a very rough edge on the bottom of it. From the days it was on my 97 TJ. The bottom of the plate was dragged on quite a few rocks. The first picture below if of the actual plate, the second is a printed fake.

Good effort!

PS: no point in pulling either picture off your servers. I have saved both and will host them if that need arises.

Denial is one of the classic stages of grieving.

Since it WAS on the sheer, don't you think that it could have actually been trimmed up to remove the snaggs and snares before it was sliced in half? Marcus was nice enough to get most of the dents out before he shipped it. I was trying to be nice and take care of the sharp edges, but it got out of hand.

Couldn't have taken that the rock rash off and left that much of the plate.

AGAIN...VERY GOOD EFFORT. He had me at hello

Re: LUVMYJP Plate Tour 2004

Hey Dan, that one looks a little suspicious also ...

No signature from the "Complainant" could make that a phony ticket.

I would argue that one with the judge... no traceable evidence that was a legitimate meter maid. :gag:

My .05 donation :smoker:

Re: LUVMYJP Plate Tour 2004

Trust me the ticket is real, legal is another story. I checked the City and County of Denver website; they offer a pay online option. The ticket has not been entered in there system yet. Once it is I will post the link so all can see the ticket is legit.

PS: I am denying all monies sent to the paypal account.
