Looking for the best Jeep Mechanic in So-cal

Jeep has been running like hell for the past month. I've replaced every sensor known to man, rebuilt numerous things, adjusted everything I could, and chased down all the things I could, and still have not been able to get it running good. I'm ready to break down and take it to the best mechanic I money can buy. I'm in Orange County, so if you guys have some good mechanics, that are legit, let me know. Thanks

it's kind of far from you, but after three years of searching high and low i've been really satisfied with a kiwi named Damian who owns "Damian Smith Auto Repair" shop in the valley. he works on all cars but specializes in Jeeps... he drives a black XJ and a yellow one that's basically two XJs welded together so it looks wider than normal.

good luck! :)

Mike Rollins, MJR on the board here. He's out of Costa Mesa and works for a Jeep Dealership there (I forget the name).

I'll 2nd Damian, he is a nice a honest person. Plus he's fun to talk to cause he has a great aussie acent!

It would be a drive for you, but J&S in Yucaipa do great work, are very honest, and have awesome prices. There's also Justin (XJJeeper19) who's on the forum occassionally. He's a Jeep mechanic at the Ontario Jeep dealership. He's knows his stuff big tiime. Probably one of the most knowledgable guys on here, but he's a super busy guy so you may have to wait a while before he can take a look at your Jeep.

I'll throw Mike J Rollins under the bus here too. Absolutely the most knowledgeable person around about XJ's, and incredibly detail oriented. He is without question the best you will find. If you email him and don't get a response, PM me and I'll make a call on your behalf.

I forgot about Russ Pottenger out in the Beaumont/Banning area I think. I havn't used him yet but I have heard great things about him. Little far of a drive for you, but sometimes it's worth the drive to have your rig worked on by someone who knows what they are doing.

John at All 4Wheel Drive in Corona ca. 951-277-1037

He's been working on Jeeps and 4x4's for over 30 years now, working closely with Currie, Kilby, and AEV. He is ASE certified and teaches auto tech at RCC. Absolutely the nicest honest best mechanic I know. Be warned though, he is not the cheapest guy on the block, but you get what you pay for and he stands behind all his work.
