Looking for specs on an F-250

I have a 1989 two-wheel-drive Ford F-250 with 302 and a five-speed. It was a commercial truck originally, and has a bare-bones interior. I'm trying to find some specs for it, namely, what transmission and rear axle it has, and what gear ratio. I haven't been able to find a list of specs anywhere on the net, and was thinking that someone here might be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Well, the tranny and rear axle ratio both depend.

The standard 302/5-spd is 3.08. But, if it was a factory tow package, it got a 3.55 from the factory. But, 3.73 and 4.10 were both available. The tag if it is still there has the ratio.

The tranny is either a Mazda or a ZF. The ZF is a pretty good tranny, the other isn't. I don't remember the model of the Mazda tranny.

Here is a general decoder.

The axle code is on the door sticker, so is the tranny.

Here is a forum for Ford trucks. Pretty light on actual tech compared to here, but you can find some stuff(think JU)
