Evap must have sprung an oil leak...

I think it looks like a good buy. The lack of OD isn't an issue w/ the overall gearing it has. Even w/ 32's it wouldn't be too bad. I drive my TJ in 4th a lot at lower highway speeds which is the same as your top gear.

That is exactly where the AC drips condensation from that is water ont oil

Looks like a nice rig and probably a good buy, but still would have it check out by a mechanic you trust

Yeap every vehicle I've owned does it. My mechanic is definately checking it out, but even if something minor is wrong I am gonna buy it.

THINKING TO MYSELF???? I did not think a 999 or 904 that was behind an amc 8 would bolt up to the 4.0????????

The 999 and 904 were also behind the 4.2L which has the same bolt pattern as the 4.0L. The other ? is what xfer case does it have? My 86 CJ came with the 4.2/999/300 combo. All work pretty good. I don't know what xfer case you have or how it would have to be modded.

But why does water drip from a part called an evaporator??

Overall, I would grab it and enjoy it, Because if you don't, I might just sneak out of ky., and grab it myself. It look slike a really nice rig, "starter" or not.
